Be More Efficient With Sprints
Hi Everyone,
So as I was writing my most recent blog for my language learning site I once again came across something that might be helpful to everyone here.
I was writing about efficiency, more specifically about examples of the Pareto Principle and how we can get maximum results from our effort. (See my previous blog).
One of the examples I gave was doing Language Sprints - this involves focusing on learning only 1 aspect of a language for 2 weeks. This idea can definitely be translated across to making money online, so give it a shot to see if it will make you more efficient.
Here's what to do:
1) Choose you time frame - I'd suggest anything from 1-3 weeks.
2) Find a weakness in you site - this is what you will need to focus on for your Sprint
3) Find an action to take that will turn that weakness into a strength
Let's look at some examples:
- Writing a blog post per day for 1 week
- Write 1 blog post every 2 days for 2 weeks
- Spend 1 week improving the aesthetics of your site
- Spend 3 days reviewing your site and identifying opportunities for linking or adding affiliate sites
- Spend 5 days developing an email marketing system with high quality auto-responder emails
- Spend 5 days earning 5 comments per day on your site
The opportunities are endless! Remember the idea is to focus on only 1 area for a short period of time. Don't think about anything else but achieving your goal. The goals are kept to a short time period so the next goal can be on a different area. This will keep your site well rounded.
I hope this helps! If you'd like to see my original blog for other efficiency tips related to learning a language then you can find it here.
Let me know in the comments if you have other ways to run your site more efficiently!
All the best,
Dave

thanks Dave, great idea. This is definitely something i need to do. I have difficulty trying to split my time between everything.
Ye I've found it can be really helpful to just eliminate choice on what to do - pick one thing for a few days and ignore the rest, it keeps the mind focused!

These sprints are a great idea. Saving for reference and use. Thanks.
