I know this is a tough question for a lot of people.
What is holding you back?
It could be one thing or a combination of things. Once you know what is holding you back, you can conquer whatever your heart desires. Let the fear go and grab success. I read a book years ago, " Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway" Susan Jeffers
I was recommended this book quite a few years back and I have recommended to many people and I am doing the same again. I feel this book will help you in many ways.
I would appreciate if you would share what is holding you back and we can all share and help each other. You just never know, this post could change your life and your business.

I read that book several years ago. It had a big impact on my life. I join you in recommending it. I think that interruptions, and not being able to stick to my schedules may be what is holding me back. Thanks Dave.
Great that you read the book and it impacted your life. One of the biggest impacts it had for me was the affirmations. I had affirmations everywhere in my place. It is amazing what they will do for you.
In regards to scheduling, what is most important to move forward first, then follow your routine. Once you have a routine, everything will fall in place.

I struggle with content. It is hard for me to put my thoughts into words. When I go back to read what I have written I'm afraid it will not hold their interest or get lost in the meaning.

Yes I have the same problem with content. I have started writing several posts and haven't completed one yet to publish. My blog was indexed several days ago on Google

Writing content may seem complicated, however what I do is open up notepad or word pad and write my content there. Also I will get ideas from other sites and then start talking to my audience. Let the people know your experience and the better you relate to them, the more trust you build.

Never be afraid that your content isn't good enough. The best way to tell how your content is to test it. Also what I do is write to myself. Would I want to continue on and want more information. I have found when you show people your own experience, they will always want more. Lead by example.

Distractions are easy excuses for not doing what you need to do in your business because there are two things holding many people back 1) lack of confidence and 2) fear of failure however, these should be overcome with encouragement and training here at WA.

You know you are right. Many people are afraid of success. I feel all WA members are here to be successful. Follow the steps, don't skip and success will be yours. I am guilty myself some times, I try to get ahead of myself. It doesn't work.

This is a very profound statement. Most people don't want to admit, they are afraid or fearful to move on to something unknown. I have been in that place so many times, it's unreal!! Thank you so much for your feedback. Most important is be confident in whatever you do. I always tell people to say, "I can do it". If you let "I can't do it enter your mind, you will have problems. Be positive and that will give you the extra power to pull through.

I always tell people, don't let fear and common sense hold you back. Whatever you feel right is the right thing to do. Tell people the reason you chose to do what you did. The only mistake is not making one. In deciding your niche, whatever is closest to your heart. Example if you love football. Start with football and expand out. Football clothing, shoes, balls, etc.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely give the book a go. I think the biggest thing holding me back is my business going nowhere. Putting in all the work and nothing happens. I try to be positive and shut out the fear but its always at the back of my mind.

The beauty of Wealthy Affiliate is that you can build a website and earn money doing what you love. Once you master branding yourself, you won't have to chase any more. Thanks Dave. I'm not sure it's fear, I think it is more being overwhelmed by the jargon. This is a whole new language. I once helped in an ESL class at our church. I now have a basis for my empathy.

I hear what you are saying. Life in general can be overwhelming. We get distracted and many people start multi-tasking and head off in the wrong direction. Then they start doubting themselves. I have put the book I mentioned on my Wealthy Affiliate website. I hope that this post has helped.

I appreciate your effort to bring the community together on this topic. I would say my strength and my weakness is I'm very detailed in my work. When learning new things I'm cautious not to miss anything. That can cause delays. But, I'm usually pleased with the outcome. I suppose I would be the turtle in the fable about the tortoise and the hare. :-) As I say, there's good and bad in this fable for the turtle... :-)
