Even Scrooge Came Around Eventually
I've always had a slight affinity for old Scrooge. I felt sorry for him, yet admired him on a level. He led his life his way, didn't suffer fools gladly, and knew how to pinch a penny til it squeaked.
He simply wasn't any good at the Christmas... thing.
But you all know the story. After a very disconcerting intervention, he came around to hold Christmas very well.
I'm not so good at Christmas either. I reckon that Ebenezer and I would be pals.
In no need of a similar interposition, it is with a glad heart filled with the spirit of the occasion that my fictional pal and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Fox Nation has a fascinating documentary on the history behind A Christmas Carol and why Dickens wrote it. So very powerful and unexpected fun facts. For example, it wasn't a tradition to say this until A Christmas Carol was published - Merry Christmas!
Scrooge was an innovator! It is a wonderful story, and I would like to know more about its history. Thanks for the tip, and Merry Christmas, Jeannine.
