What's Your Longest Post Word Count?

Kyle's training suggest or word count should be 1K+ which when you first begin your journey here, that seems like you're writing a novel, I was fresh out of words at 300.

Many newbies are unsure as to what constitutes a good word count, mine's only about 1200 but since using Site Content, I'm refreshing my WA review and will go MUCH BIGGER

What's YOUR biggest word count??

wow I am worried now. most of my posts aren't even over 200 words.

Google won't be impressed by 200. Most people do 200 as part of a introduction as do what they're going to talk about without that post.

I usually stay close to 1100 to 1500 to keep it fresh!

I now push through 1000 myself too

About 1500 words Dave!

I'd struggle to get that high without rambling.

Mine is exactly 1200 too! That almost seems too long though! I'm always afraid I'm going to lose my reader. I know how I am when it comes to websites and research and rarely will I get on and read pages of content. I write pretty well too ( i think), and my content is not boring, but after so long people just want to move on. The world is so fast paced these days that they don't have time to sit and read it. I could be wrong....I hope I am.....because I have an amazing site that I have put together, and it is filled with long posts and great content! I'll let you be the judge of that if you'd like? No biggie if you don't!!

Great question though Dave! Thanks for sharing this with us! Good luck to you and best wishes my friend! Talk again soon!

That's funny, your message starts with fear but believe me, there's no need!
You're right, you do write really well, and your site looks great, yes 1200 words is a lot, but your post is engaging and enjoyable to read so it only feels like a few hundred.

Your Complex migraines sounds interesting, my wife has migraines quite often and has nocturnal epilepsy.

I'm fascinated by how the brain works.

Dave

Thanks for the nice words Dave! I appreciate hearing that! Sorry to hear your wife goes through that and feel for her for sure! I hope she is doing well these days!

Best wishes to you and your family!

Misty

It is NOT the QUANTITY it is the QUALITY!!

I some time get MORE reaction to 750 word post to a 1750 words post!

paul

I agree Paul. I think Google might like long posts but I don't know that the READER always likes long posts. We have to balance those two. So, I like to have different lengths.

Basically I don't worry about the word count. I just write what I feel needs to be said! That is usually 700-900 words but some are shorter and some are longer.

That's true, I've got a Page 1 with about 400 words because of the keyword choice.

If an article is longer than about 1700 words I split it into part one and part two et cetera. I have been testing super long articles and I have found that people leave very quickly when an article is over 1200 words

Great to hear this

That is interesting, I'd like to know if any of the Vegas qualifiers have large words counts that have converted?

Comments from Vegas people.....please

I'll keep mine around 1000 then.

WA review - 3,620 words. Plus 130 comments if that also counts lol.

And have you achieved many sales on such a high word count?

Yeah, it's generated $100s in commissions. It's slowly climbing the rankings in Google too. :)

Well done, maybe I should go back and expand on mine again then. either that or it's just a matter of time.

My longest is 4,752.

OMG!!!

It is one of my pillar pages that make up the foundation of my website. It leads to many other related sub-pages.

Someone's WA review here is something like 23k words, yes I said 23000.

Personally, I'd never read through that many

Brilliant !!

That would be a bunch of reading for me. Hope it has lots of pictures. :)

Is that for your own niche or WA?

My own niche.

mine varies it's usually a minimum of 450 words and above but then I've been writing articles and blogs as long as I've had a computer. Also, I've written speeches and training programs with Powerpoint slides for more than 20 years, so my experience is vastly different than mosy people here

Thanks for chipping in so quickly, you clearly have varied experience in content

2500+

That's quite impressive William
