Find the time, make the time!

I’ve been premium since the end of April and my progress is ticking along. I wouldn’t say I’m moving at the speed of a bullet train, but I’m moving forward and enjoying the journey. I’m nearly at the end of the second stage of training ensuring I complete each task honestly and earnestly.

My website on "Losing weight in your 40s" is live with 4 articles and I’m learning new skills on writing valuable content, as well as learning about kywords and SEO amongst other things.

I’m grateful on finding a great community and thanks to everyone here that has helped me thus far. I hope I can give back and add value to others.

The reason I joined WA is to add to my skills and find out my shortfalls as I’ve owned a website reviewing piano tuition for a couple of years.

It’s a good looking website with useful content, but my traffic stats are dreadful. Since going through the training, I’ve already found out where I’ve gone wrong and things are improving.

I aim to bring the domain over to WA at some stage, as I’ve been impressed with the platform here.

What do I find challenging?

For me, it’s finding the time. I’m writing this blog as I sit on the train at 6.30am ahead of a 10 hour day in the office and an hour commute either side.

When I get home, I spend time with my 4 year old and read his story before bed and then hopefully some piano practice before dinner. Once that is done it’s usually 8pm and I’m exhausted. Writing and working on the train is usually my most productive time.

I enjoy the challenge and maybe one day I will have the freedom to not work such long hours away from home.

I’m lucky with my job, so I’m not complaining - it’s brought me success, a lot of opportunities in my life and I work with great people.

I will keep persevering with my websites and although my progress is slow, I won’t give up.

Being part of a friendly community is an adjustment, as im not an active social media guy who updates their Facebook/Twitter/Instagram activity every day. I have no issues with people that do, it's just not for me.

Finding a positive community here on WA is great, as there is a lot of negativity on the internet and to find a genuine place where people want you to succeed is a gem.

Progress is still a positive movement forward, even if it’s slow. Finding a little time, even 30mins a day (on the train for me) is possible and sometimes it encourages me to find a little more time in the day to doing something positive. Maybe 30 mins in my lunchtime, although I’m usually in the gym trying to control my weight in my 40s! :)

My aims and challenges going forward.

I always aim to write at least one article or review on my piano website a month and I’ve kept to this. I hope to keep the same minimum to my new website.

The pace needs to go up. For those of you that write an article or more in a day - I’m amazed and impressed - good for you. This is an eventual goal of mine.

I also aim to complete the training and contribute to the success of others. Fitting this all in remains the big challenge, but the effort will be worth it.

I wish everyone success and hope to help where I can, as I improve my knowledge.

If anyone is reading this thinking they don’t have time to develop their skills in affiliate marketing, think again. If you value something you will find the time.

Thank Alex. I’ll keep moving forward.

You are well on the way Dave thank you for sharing your inspiring story. Time can be one of our biggest challenges that we face when we start this journey, accepting our time constraints can actually be a motivating factor looks like you have a clear understanding of where you are heading.

Wow, Dave- you are doing so great especially with your time constraints. You are already successful because of your dedication and I wish you lots of it
Vicki

Thanks Vicki

you are so welcome and continued success Dave :)

Good post! I've been working hard on my sites, but I don't have an outside job and work from home normally. That means I have a lot more time to work on WA and reading this made me really appreciate that fact!

Best wishes with you success. Thanks for reading

Nice work Dave. And your niche was an idea I had at the back of my mind for myself. I am my target audience :)

But, I am busy working on my first niche at the moment. So, will leave this one to you :)
