Buckets and Bricks
It was whilst reading all these great blogs from other affiliates that two of my own favourite expressions came to mind.
The first one is - A dripping tap fills a bucket
And the second – You build a house one brick at a time
Let me explain. We all need to keep on top of our learning, whether that is with WA or in an office on a nine to fiver or in a workshop. I used to teach and assess electricians and there are lots of regulations to learn, lots of skills to master and an immense amount of reading to be done just to keep up with the industry.
I always said to my electricians …
“Don’t stop learning. At least twice a week, more if possible, sit down and read one of the books for thirty minutes to an hour. It doesn’t need to be any longer than that, but it needs to be regular. Drip feeding your brain with information every few days makes a massive difference to your knowledge at the end of a year.”
And the second of my sayings is from my observations that there are times when some of the new electricians become frustrated and exasperated at their shortfall in required knowledge and very obvious lack of skills. I would explain that, if you were to build a house, where would you start? At the bottom obviously, with the foundations. And for the first few days, to an unskilled observer, nothing is happening. It’s all going on out of sight. But you persevere, one brick at a time and eventually the house walls become visible. Then they grow and eventually they start to look like a house, one brick at a time.
It is the same with Wealthy Affiliates. There is so much to learn, so much to do and all we really want is an instant, all singing, all dancing website with loads of traffic and oodles of commissions. It’s not going to work like that. We need time to learn and time to build.
So, remember
A dripping tap fills a bucket – feed your mind and learn
We build a house one brick at a time – do the work consistently, be patient and things will happen.
No drips, no learning. No bricks, no house.

Great advice, for sure we build one brick at time especially in this type of business. Great line this was: a dripping tap fills a bucket – feed your mind and learn
So true Bux. We all need to be patient if we want to be consistent in our business achievements

Hi Bux, great post. Things just don't happen. Eventually that bucket will fill with water one drip at a time, and eventually that house will be built, one brick at a time.
This is how we build our presence here, and on the online world.
Thank you for the share,
Michael
My pleasure Michael. I'm a great believer in team work.
