Yes... that's me and one of the ways I made money outside of my so-called 9-5. I was and am in my soul and heart a Professional Illusionist. Some of you may refer to me as a "Drag King", but to me there is a difference. An Illusionist requires a level of professionalism and are, shall we say, believable as the gender they are portraying. Now, I am not, by any means sayin that a Drag King lacks professionalism all together; it is their drive to achieve a level beyond the local tavern.

I have achieved just that. The photos you are seeing are from King's Island's Pride Night where the best of the best are called upon to raise money for The LGBT Community Center in Cincinnati, Oh. That best included Chad Michaels, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars. What a wonderful person. her words for me after this performance of mine to Fallout Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em' Up)", was "Fierce, just fierce!" Wow, from Chad Michaels.

I own 14 pageant and charitable titles and have performed in clubs from The Birdcage on 8 Mile in Detroit, MI to Connections in Lexington, Ky. I have performed with RuPaul girls such as Mystique Summers, Penny Tration, Sharon Needles, Monica Beverly Hills, Phi Phi O'Hara, Pandora Box, Ju Ju Bee, and many more.

So, what does this have to do with my tags? Frankly, you don't get to where I did without being able to market your product. My product was... My, my performances, my look, my productions and lastly, my binding and make-up techniques. My techniques were so sought after that I dressed in private and the few I did teach; signed non-disclosure agreements.

In this nontraditional field, we still had to market ourselves, our shows and the bars in which we were performing or we didn't make the money and eventually we didn't have a following and no career in alternative performance art. If we didn't bring the crowd, we weren't invited back.

So, how di we market? Well, Social Media mostly. We would create posters and events and invite via Facebook and Twitter. Then I began doing promo videos (which of course increased my stock). We marketed face-to-face and over the mic about our upcoming performances. It was allin our personalities and our ability to be believable.

We were MASTERS at advertising. We were creative in our marketing. That is my goal here. To take those experiences and bring them to WA... it need to happen! Excitement and engagement for our "AUDIENCES". A performance via affiliate marketing and that is what my contribution will be to WA.
