I am a 64 year old Australian living in a small coastal town in Victoria.
Don't let my age fool you - I am a beach bum and a fitness fanatic - my fitness level is equal to a 40 year old.
I have just returned to running after a six year lay-off. I quit running due to a knee injury acquired at karate training. I also had to quit surfing but I am ready to get back to surfing as soon as I can afford to buy a surf board.
So I guess that's one of my first goals here at WA - buy a surfboad and wetsuit so I can return to surfing.
I have been struggling on a disability pension for a number of years now - my disability is psychiatric - bipolar and PTSD. So another goal of mine is to get off the pension and live on money I earn myself.
Another goal is to move to a warmer climate - as I said I currently live in Victoria - I love that I'm so close to the beach (10 minute walk) but I hate the weather. I thrive in the heat. Many years ago I went backpacking in Northern NSW and Queensland. I fell in love with Byron Bay and decided I wanted to live there. It could have changed a lot by now so to begin with I would like to afford a holiday there to see if I still like it.
I have lots of goals but its one step at a time.
One more goal I will tell you about is that I want to be in a financial position to help disadvantaged Australians.
My other interests are writing, woodworking, gardening and playing guitar.
Drop by and say g'day - I would love to connect with you.
