Hare vs Turtle?

When I joined Wealthy Affiliate in November 2017 I started my journey like the hare, fast and furious... I completed Level one training, my site and basic content. This is great, right? Well, yes for a start but certainly not for sustainability or long term success.

It was close to holiday time, I became distracted and didn't keep up with training, posts or research. Looking back I was channeling the hare, wanting some immediate gratification like more site visits...wanting to quickly get to the finish line. Needless to say I lost my drive and resorted to some old patterns.

Decision Time...

I was still paying monthly =:0 so hadn't given up fully. Last month I came very close to canceling completely. Fortunately I was reminded of my initial goals and commitment. I realized that quitting was not the answer. The answer was and is following through with what I said I was going to do!

I went premium and glad this was my choice!

For me, this is not about the money to be earned, it's about the completion of a goal. I'm feeling proud of myself. I'm an over thinker with perfectionistic tendencies. It's funny because I have BA in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work and am successful in my career. With that said, I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and have gotten in my own way.

I'm choosing the Turtle

I'll take a slow and steady pace, like the turtle, moving forward with small, steady steps. When my goals are too big and I don't follow through I experience a sense of failure. Creating small daily achievable goals allows me to experience success and that keeps me motivated:)
