6826 unique clicks in 20 hours

Like what I've mentioned in my last blog post, I've got a crazy amount of traffic. Today, 20 hours after I posted it on the Dcard app, I've gained 6826 unique clicks but only one referral.
The reason
I think there're 3 reasons why the conversion rate is so low.
1. Most people who checked my Dcard post are not really interested in online marketing.
Although my post made it to the top post in the marketing category and top 30 in all categories, most people don't take it too seriously, they clicked it based on their curiosity.
2. Some negative comments in the comment section.
Some people found the link I've put is an affiliate link, and they were not happy about it. When other people saw the comment, it's less likely to gain their trust.
3. My post was banned.
Unlike Facebook, Instagram or other social apps, Dcard is a non-commercial app, you can't post any ads or try to sell anything. Although my post is a review post, I put an affiliate link in it, that's why my post was banned 20 hours after I posted it.
Conclusion
I've learned a lesson, that is, target the right audience, massive traffic doesn't equal high conversion rate. And utilize the resources you've already got, although it's not appropriate to post such a post on Dcard, I've got the idea, if I do it in the right way, I can generate massive traffic.

Traffic is meaningless if it is not relevant and certainly if they are totally disengaged. We have people getting 50%+ conversion rates that are driving relevant traffic to WA, and we have had folks send 10,000's of clicks of bogus traffic and not see any.
Not all traffic is the same and if you are trying to sell ice water in the desert and your only traffic is people driving by at 100MPH, then you won't make a sale.
