I'm Dan, and I like cars!
Hello everyone, this is my first blog post, so I'm in that awkward place we create in our minds between trying to write a masterpiece and not really wanting to write anything at all. Okay, so, my name is Dan, and my niche is cars (no surprises so far then if you've seen the title of this post). With my website, www.getracecarparts.com, I want to share with people what I have learned in twenty years of owning, repairing, cleaning, modifying, racing, and fabricating pretty much anything with wheels.
People are facing problems and pain points in vehicle ownership, such as: why does my car shake when I brake?, what is car shampoo and do I really need it?, or how can I make my car faster?, to name just a few questions I get asked. I seek to serve and solve many people's problems by information sharing, and of course like all of us here, get paid passively for it.
Probably one of my biggest realisations is that I have a unique combination of talents, knowledge, experience, and skills. In at least one key area I am better than most people on the planet. It would be selfish of me not to use this ability to help others, and also build a great future for my family. I believe the above is true for everyone reading this.
My goal for the next three months is simple: continue to learn about affiliate marketing by working my way through the training here at WA, and continue to build my website by consistently adding valuable content.
My goal for the next six months is to see some return, maybe not true profit, but some income generation that I can build and learn to maximize. An object in motion is far easier to steer than when at rest, so my aim is to create and sustain forward momentum by the end of this year.
I am just coming to the end of Level 2 - Building Your Own Traffic Producing Website training, so this is a bit of success post to let people know about my progress thus far. I am really enjoying the structure of the lessons within the training. Each lesson is laid out in a simple, easy to follow order, making use of the fantastic resources available here within the WA community platform. I am also hugely enjoying the community itself, the people who contribute, help, congratulate, support, and just have a good chat.
My biggest struggle so far has been that of time management, or rather, life management. We can not control time, we can only control what we do with it. While I have a wealth of experience to share about working on cars, and I am also still working on cars, as well as all the jobs that come with having a child and owning a home. None of those things are going to change, so it is up to me to change. It is for me to manage my time more effectively, to prioritise and segment my time to the tasks that move me closer to my goal.
That's all for now, catch you soon.
Dan.

Another racing fan here. F1, sim racing, car setup, technical details, I love it.
If you want someone to discuss it with, feel free to contact me. Especially if you're into sim racing.
Yeah, it is an amazing world. I love the innovation in F1. It is a shame we didn't get to see Merc's DAS from the start, I'd well imagine the other teams will have their own version now so we won't get to see a straight comparison.
