Thank you for the great tip, Dale, it's appreciated and a great idea.
I started using Google Alerts quite a few years ago, as I really liked the idea and the potential that it gave. However, it is something that I have almost forgotten about! I just went to my Google alerts and one of my alerts is "Wealthy Affiliate review". My latest Google alert for this title was a year ago! I even have my own name in the alerts, and yet no alerts! Although I can find myself on Google which shows my name on recent posts etc.
I've just changed my Google alert settings to "all results" rather than "only the best results", which appears to be the default setting.
It will be interesting to see if this changes anything.
All the best to you.
Roy
You're very welcome :)
And haha yep, "only the best results" often misses out quite a lot. "All results" can sometimes be too much though; but it's worth playing around :)
Thank you, Dale, much appreciated.
It sounds like I need to play around with the settings! Just for your interest, I have now received an email each morning for the Google alert term "Wealthy Affiliate"! It's nice to know that the Google alerts really do work!
Have a fantastic weekend.

Dale,
I like the idea of setting alerts for niches and catch phrases. As my website is still in its infancy for traffic, setting an alert for my blog may not get much in the line of results.
But I am setting up alterts today and will let you know what comes of it at the end of the month.
Thanks for your comment. And yep, it would be great to set some up for things related to your niche, then you can ask for those things to be linked to your articles :)
