Worth digging in Social Media

How slow I am digging in social media, 2 weeks Facebook, 1 week Instagram, 1 week Pinterest... I am about to dig in Youtube, Google Business, Google ads, Linkedin ... in the next 3 months. Is it worth digging in Social Media? Absolutely yes. Let me show you my data.

I did not use Facebook in my life until last week. Last week, within 7 days, I posted 3 posts on Facebook, without paid ads, reaching more than 100K people, 5K engagements, over 600 fans. It just starts, branding phase, and it is just 1 channel, free traffic. I feel so excited and cannot image how large the social media can scale my business. And next week I am going to try Pinterest and Instagram. After learning, I foresee Instagram might not be the right platform for me but Pinterest seems pretty good. I will report to you my data next Sunday.

Here below I summarize my mindset of learning social media with a focus on key points:

1. Account setting;

2. Profile and bio to improve searching result;

3. Post itself to improve attraction, using tag, hashtag, question, hot spot, ect..

4. Free traffic to reach more and more people (very import, taking hours to dig);

5. Paid ads to scale the post that is good after using free traffic. (very important, I spent 30 hours to gain the full knowledge of Facebook ads, especially lookalike audience, the most powerful method of ads, gold mine in it).

6. Find a different tool or application to help extend your audience, reaching more people.

7. Find useful application to schedule all social media posts, find out unlimited idea of content and monitor audience comments. Save your time.

8. Cross all your social media, to scale your post/brand.

9 Stats analysis

10. dig what the social media agencies do and how they do and leverage their strategy;

Who masters social media, who gains the market.

1. Social Media + your own Local business

2. Social Media agencies + business advisory

3. Social Media + Blog + Affiliate market

4. Social Media + Youtube

5. Social Media + E commerce

6. Social Media + Youtube/blog + own digital product (E book, course, app, etc..)

Hi Daisy,

Thanks for sharing your post on your social media experience. It's great to hear what you're doing so far.

I wish I didn't have to use social, but I know it's essential to building a blog/online business.

I've taken the initiative to become more active and engaged on social- Facebook is my big focus now (FB is the original master of social, and they'll probably be around for a long time). I use Youtube as well and looking into Pinterest later this year. So I have an action plan for social media for the rest of 2020.

Thanks again for sharing- all the best!

-Eric

Hello Eric, l am ready to start Pinterest journey, I will write a post in WA to share the tips of full knowledge of it. It is more powerful than FB, and it is still very young.

I know I could not become a good blogger, l do not have talent in language or writing. So I would like to focus on becoming the digital marketing strategist and E-commerce later. My husband is doing blogging and Youtube. I involved in providing ideas to him.

Hi DaisyLI,
Thank you for the heads up on facebook. I have a facebook account and a facebook business page, but, I didn't see the value. Also, to use certain functionalities on the facebook business page, you have to have so many "likes" in order to proceed on the page.

This was very discouraging and frustrating. Another reason I stopped visiting facebook was because I've seen a lot of mess on facebook that I'm not interested in at all. With that being said and because of my past experiences, I stop visiting facebook altogether.

Now that I've read your post, I'm inspired to rethink of my relationship and interaction with the facebook platform. I will give it another shot with a different view. If you come across any more good tips, in the future, here's my website and email address:

Please view my site and leave a comment. I'm open to ALL suggestions. Thank you for the insight.

To Your Success,

Hello, do not give up facebook, it has the most active users among all the social media, but it is the most complicated one because it has a lot of functions that you have to explore. Here I can share with you a few tips that you can search on YouTube for tutorial:

1. Free traffic: search big group on Facebook, which is highly-related to your niche. Join them and share your post in these groups. When you create your post, use your business page; When you share your posts in these groups, use your personal account.

2. https://app.hubspot.com/academy/7830475/tracks/27/238/1321

Take this lesson, have General knowledge of the Facebook ads

3. When you gather your fans or persons who likes your post, you can use this:

1) Do email marketing if they have because you have their profile that Facebook back office provides;

2) Use these data, through lookalike audience (Audience Assets) to create new lists which are ideal customers but never reached. The theory Facebook uses is AI, machinery. This is my favorite, most powerful ad method. I am crazy about data.

If you have any question, you can private message to me. It is not easy to browse all different pieces into my own systematic strategy.

Now I am spending loads of my time working on Pinterest. I used to spend time on Instagram, but it looks I failed. Well, I will continue Instagram I believe I can form my own strategy.

AI, Machine learning, Clustering

Hi DaisyLi,
Thank you for reaching out. I’ll sign up for hubspot and get some suggestions from them first, then I’ll give FB another try.

Also, I like your idea about joining some Facebook groups. However, I’m a bit confused. You said, “When you create your post, use your business page; When you share your posts in these groups, use your personal account?”

To Your Success,

You have your personal page, and then based on it, you established business page.

When creating post related to your business, create on business page, where you can advertise in the future if you want. Personal page post cannot be advertised.

When you share the post you create on business page, you click share ==> choose a group ==> choose personal or business page, I choose personal page to share my business post to these groups, to look like not that promotional.

Also, FB post is different from website post. It could be in many ways. I suggest at the beginning to create something funny and motivating, not providing your website post link, it is for branding phases.

Once you gather a certain number of fans, you can promote your website post or run your own community.

Thanks and regards,

Good strategy DaisyLi. I’ll give it a good try. Thank you for reaching out.

To Your Success,

Very great post and advice

Wow, amazing post, thank you.
