The daily grind
After 2 years of being premium, I haven't put the time in to make much progress on the courses or my sites. Unfortunately, my day job keeps getting in the way by sucking up all my time and energy. It's exactly the daily grind I intended to escape from with WA.
Well, now I'm back and have reignited that flame. The excitement of creating something from nothing... online of all places! Many things are still a mystery to me and I still have a long way to go and many hours ahead. But I'll get there.
I've been bouncing in and out of WA about every 4 months reminding myself that I need to get back into it. Every time I opened that door and walked into this global community I am in awe of the wonderful people here and their willingness to help others. As the brutal corporate years age me, more grays from that than from my kids, I find solace here with all of you. WA keeps calling me home, keeping me grounded.
... I'm glad to be back.

The important thing is that you keep coming back. WA is always here when we are ready to continue on. Anyone who has another daily job and still progresses here has my admiration. I'm retired from the daily grind and still not where I want to be. But we'll get there!

Thanks Debbie. It's such an awesome community here. Everyone is so inspiring which helps keep things in perspective. I appreciate your comments. -Craig
Glad you're back as well!
I feel your pain...I too have what I call a "9-5 gig" (more like 7-7) but numbers aren't important - just one minute spent doing something you don't like or believe in is too much - that keeps me from spending as much time here and on my website as I'd like.
Hang in there and don't give up! As long you keep putting one foot in front of the other You Will Get There!

Hi Craig- Welcome back and now its time to get moving forward
All the best and success will follow if you do this consistently even if its 1/2hour each day- progress will be made

Thank you for the confidence Vicki. That's also my own advice to people... if I could just follow it myself! haha... I'll get there. The fire is burning inside and I'm truly ready (and excited) to get going again.

Hi Craig,
Welcome back to WA! Definitely can relate how the 9-5 job can keep pulling you away...it can drain the life right out of you! I had a hard time getting much accomplished when I first started out here myself because of the 9-5 job I had at the time, working 40-60 hours a week, well, that was exhausting!
But, if you can even do 20 minutes or an hour a day, it'll add up...whatever steps you accomplish eventually do add up and you'll see that you've made progress.
Some days you might not find any time at all, and that's okay....it won't be the end of the world. Just keep working at it again the next day.
And, if an opportunity to find a 9-5 job that's a bit less demanding or stressful comes your way, well, that might help too, so you can find more time to work on your future here...it's what I did, plus went to part time as well eventually...it took a longer time than some, but things are starting to pay off more every day.
Don't worry, you'll get there...just think of what you've already accomplished, and keep working on those next steps to achieve what you've set out to do...get rid of the daily grind!
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
Thank you for the inspiring message Sherry! It's difficult to walk away or cut back on hours since I am a managing partner. WA is my escape plan though! In a few years I'll be able to walk away if I want to. In the meantime, I'll be doing exactly what you said. Little bits at a time, whatever can be done. Baby steps.
Thank you again and all the best to you!
