You need a looker first

I have been slacking a little on WA because we are downsizing and getting ready to sell our home. After residing here for almost 40 years, the amount of "stuff" you accumulate is overwhelming. Sorting over the "stuff" and parting with much of it is a time consuming task. It appears that the effort may have been worth it. We still may be a long way from having a buyer, but this house was on the listing service for 57 minutes before a Realtor from a nearby community called to line up a showing. That is a good start and gives us a lot of confidence in the process. Like I said this is only a looker but you need a looker (traffic) to have an opportunity to sell.

That sounds like some of the WA training and blogs. So I guess that the things we are learning at WA apply to a lot more of life than just being a WA affiliate..........

Have a great day

That's one of my biggest fears! Selling the house right out from under our junk and having 30 years of purging to do in 30 DAYS! -Alexx

That is the frustrating part. What to do with the stuff.

We are doing 3 things: 1) TRASH (meaning dump runs cause we have a tiny little trashcan 2) BURN We got a heckuva pile waiting 3) GOODWILL. I wanted to do a garage sale with some of it but my partner says UH UH. Oh, some furniture we're starting to Craigslist, and we also give a lot of stuff away if we know anyone who would give it a better home. Got rid of the ill-behaved dog already! ;) -Alexx

lready did the trash with a dumpster. Have done some Goodwill and more to go. Thanks for the burn idea might help with some things

Yeah I need to call about a dumpster too.... I think it's probably gonna be cheaper and certainly more cost effective than the dump runs! -Alexx

Great perspective. Hadn't thought about it like this before, but totally agree!
