Are there no dofollow backlinks in comments anymore? ranking problem

I have been having great problems doing backlinking for my new website http://flatscreentv-wallmounts.com. so i thought of taking the easiest way out since i have other business concerns to work though. i decided to do comment backlinkings.

what i realized backlinking through comments are hard. i found almost no dofollow backlinks to help my posts get ranked.

so this is is where i stand.

i have 3 posts http://flatscreentv-wallmounts.com/oak-tv-stands-flat-screen/
http://flatscreentv-wallmounts.com/entertainment-centers-flat-screen-tv/
http://flatscreentv-wallmounts.com/corner-tv-stands-flat-screen-tvs/

their three respective keywords are:

  • oak tv stands flat screen
  • entertainment centers flat screen tv
  • corner tv stands flat screen tvs

my site appears on the first page of QSR for all the three keywords but not at all in the Serps.

i am not sure what is going on here,

whether there is not enough backlinks or my site is sandboxed or my articles are not good enough.

I need help from you guys out there, cuz i am stuck.

p.s.(my site is over 3 months old)

I think you will find that the general consensus here is that you DO NOT need backlinks to get ranking. Focusing on backlinks is something that I recommend refraining from as if done wrong, they can do more harm than good.

Your site can get good rankings without them and focusing on content creation is a much more effective strategy to get high in the search ranks than focusing on backlinks.

I personally think comment backlinking is a waste of time, you can comment on blogs and leave your link, but your intention should be to comment not to get a backlink (If that makes sense).

point taken, but then what is going on here? what am i doing wrong? if you could help me out that would be the best.

on the first page of QSR and not on the serps. does that mean my articles are not properly structured here?

Kyle is definitely right. Backlinking is not the same anymore. I did some backlinking to experiment on 1 of my sites and my traffic got cut in half, even while doing post-penguin strategies, rankings actually fell. You just have to be really careful with it and not do too much in such little time.

Yeah, rankings do not happen right away either, in particular if a site is new. If you have over backlinked an existing site, then you are going to be in a lot of trouble with Google and you likely won't be able to get rankings going forward (they red flag sites that do this).

Continue taking action on what you learn here, you will learn the proper techniques and avoid doing what you are told elsewhere (there is a lot of misinformation out there).
