"Your-self Know Better of Your-self"

As a newbie here in Wealthy Affiliate (WA), it's a very important to ask "You, Your-self" why you choose to stay with Wealthy Affiliate (WA)? What the key factor or goal that actually motivated "You" to stay on here? Only you can answer this question for your-self and no one else can do that. Once you find the "Real Reason" than you will keep moving with every single baby step and progress with your learning process here, no matter how frustrated some time you may feel? Will You Feel Frustrated Sometime? Just be honest to your-self.

I have to confess: "I Feel It" honestly. It triggers me to ask my self "Why"? Why I feel it this way sometime?

I have been quiet for probably about 7 days after my last blog post. I was too overwhelming with a lot of information here and there, my mind just ran wild and did not focus to even do a "blog" in a day. I have spent so much time on working on the contents for my website but I could not create good contents at all despite after many days and I was disheartened and frustrated. Then I questioned my own-self, why I am here and doing what I am doing now? What is in it for me? Deep down in my heart, am I looking for the"learning goal" or "financial goal"? Then I have an answer for my-self.

You have to analyze it carefully so that the goal that you really set in your heart will drive you far. Well, frankly to me, I have a different goal, "financial goal" is never my "First" priority goal at the current moment, my first priority goal is "learning how to complete my 1st website with good contents and acquire the knowledge quickly so that I can share with others". I am so eager to challenge my-self to make a break through of my own expectation. Everyone have their own expectation, their own goal and I have my own goal and my own expectation on my own learning progress. Sometime I guess, I set my expectation too high for my self and get frustrated easily if I don't feel that I have achieved it.

So I have to make it clear to my-self constantly now that I stay in WA, because I like the community, whenever I have any questions, even a silly question from a newbie like me there will be nice and helpful people to jump in and help me out. I appreciate to those who constantly answer my questions and you know that you were there to answer my questions.

I have my own check list now and hope it helps you too if you are in a "newbie" group and facing the similar set back:

1) Set a goal with the priority right
2) Keep learning
3) Follow the tutorials
4) Ask for help when ever I need it
5) Self-discipline
6) Go back to 1-5 to make sure follow accordingly

In conclusion, I give my-self time and a chance for a fight to progress in a new learning process :)

It is indeed hard to stay constant at building your business. You will hit burn out at times as I have been there myself and for sure will again. We just take a break and go at it again.

Love the list you made to go by and you are moving forward as long as you are training and learning. Great very well written post. Keep up the great work 👍.

Hi Bobby, yes and taken note of what you highlight it. It's good to take a break and go at it again.
Thank you for your kind encouragement.
My best wishes,
Melanie

Thank you for the sincere share. I've always been of the philosophy that "the WHY is more important than the How". When there is true purpose, we find the way. WA gives us the tools to implement the HOW. This philosophy served me as a physician and lecturer for many years when I was in practice. I carry this philosophy into my new venture as a freelance writer. A couple of years ago, I was invited by a group of psychotherapists to give a lecture on the functional neurological approach to anxiety and PTSD. I was already known in New England as a lecturer on other topics. I had only 3 weeks to create a new powerpoint presentation, complete with journal article references, etc.!!! My WHY was so important that I worked feverishly and got it done. It was well received and led to more invitations to speak. Keep up the good work!

Wow Dr Sotis,
Thank you for your kind note and remind me with the "WHY" by sharing your great experience. Truly appreciate for your kind encouragement. I follow you so that I can learn more from you.
My best wishes,
Melanie

Hi Melanie. Thank you and we all learn from each other. Warm regards, John

Excellent blog, I really enjoyed it. I feel the same way. I want to learn how to do this and create a website that I enjoy building and that offers value.

I can also relate to the over-whelming amount of information. It is a double edged sword, so to speak.

I was sent a link by Eddy, about this very thing, so I'll share here for you as it really assisted me and still does as I'm still a newbie myself: I wish you much success, Louise

Hi Louise,

Thank you that you like it and we can relate it as we feel the same some time. I follow you and let's help each other to get back on track ;)
Thank you for the link and it's helps.
I wish you much success too.
My best wishes,
Melanie
