How to move forward using FEAR!
I am currently in a stage in my training where I have had a little bit of success. You would think that would lite the fires and have me blazing forward to the wealth that we are all seeking. Unfortunately though I have hit a 'fear of success' roadblock.
I am a man who likes to ask questions and I found myself asking this one "Are you taking the steps to get where you want to go?". Yes and No but honestly a little more no than yes. In a way I am getting a little burned out. I have lived my site for the past 3 months with every waking moment.
While sitting in my office contemplating the above question I realized how fearful I really am of being successful. There is a saying that with great power comes great responsibility. I think they say that for a reason, because it is true.
So I decided to make a acronym for my fear.
Follow someone who is already doing what I want to be doing or has successfully gone through something that I am currently going through. A mentor if you will.
Educate myself until all my questions have been answered and stay aware of new questions raised by either myself or others.
Announce my intentions to all. Why? Because it helps burn the bridges we really need to burn.
Resolve to move forward doing the right thing.
This coming new years I am contemplating on doing a 3,7,10,14,21,28,30 day challenge. The challenge is just to see if you can make each milestone until you reach the end with 30 days drinking nothing but smoothies.
Before and after the challenge I will be getting professionally weighed at Duke University and will also be getting blood work done with a national lab to show before and after improvements.
My fear is that this is going to be hard as hell. I can do the 3 day challenges ok, they do get rough sometimes but for the most part they are doable.
I can tell you that just because I know a lot about food doesn't mean that it is any easier for me than it is for you to stay away from those foods that 'call' to you.
I know that if I was able to pull this off it would probably inspire countless others to take charge of their health.
What do you think? Do you think you could do a challenge like this?

Charlie,
I know if you set your mind to do something you can do it. Yes, it most likely will be hard but will be a great inspiration to others.
Good luck and keep us informed
Sheila
You can do it Charlie. Anything you set your mind on you can accomplish. Stay focused. See u at the top. Greg P.
I believe in you, you can do this. We all can. We just have to trust that we can and ignore the fear but sometimes fear is good, because it can motivate you to do what you NEED to do for yourself.
Hey Charley, I know how you feel...I have to keep reminding myself the same thing. I have learned from a book I read about facing fear and success. A couple words that have stuck in my mind from it is "Face the fear, run towards the Roar" never back down no matter how overwhelmed it gets. Take it one step at time..
My best,
Gary
I would be to burnt out on smoothies after day three lol. But I would try it because I'm curious.

Hello,
To answer you question yes for about 2 weeks at the most. Please keep us posted. I am very interested to know how you are doing. I will be pulling for you!
I also have a underlining fear of success because I know that I am supposed to be. The question I ask myself is am I ready? The answer is baby steps....
