When creating an online business, the first thing that comes to mind is to create a website. But trust me, that comes later, much later.

People go for creating the website first as its the easiest thing to do. But you cannot start a website and expect money to flow.

There are millions of websites and most people wouldn't know of even a thousand.

Here is are the 6 steps that you can follow so you don't get lost.

These are self explanatory so it is going to be a very short post. Follow the steps and you'll not get lost :D

1. Find what you want to sell and have a passion and a goal.

2. Try to find the type of people that are searching for the things you are promoting or selling. Also understand what they search for on the internet when searching for those products, so you can buy a domain name related to it. (understanding the market)

3. Reserve a domain name (buy and keep the domain name. you can build the website later)

4. Inventory . Contact websites which pay you to promote. You can go for amazon and ebay, but you might find some products which pay higher commissions if your website is the right fit for their product and can generate sales for them

5. Create demand. Offer pre-order discounts, capture emails and create a buzz in the niche that your product is coming up. If it's an affiliate product, share short stories about how wonderful the product is at places where your potential customers hang out. Make people know about your website.

5. Once you have the above things in place, create a professional website. Use premium/free templates as it saves a lot of time. If you still want to be very unique, hire a designer if you can.

6. Keep posting new stuff and keep things updated.

7. Profit?? ;) See the profits roll in, at an ever increasing pace.
