I don't know how to use the Internet.

I am 30 years old now. I started using the Internet since 1999 when it still takes 5-10 minutes just to login to an email (It happened, really!). I started using it without really knowing why. A fad. A craze. Maybe. I can't recall.

I was in high school then. I just wish we have a subject back then where they are teaching students effectively to use internet.

When I got into college, I spent most of my online time into forums. One of my favorites was a university forum called Peyups.com. Y!Messenger chat rooms also took so much of my time (I did not enjoy mIRC). I paid hours just to play Dynomite. I never used the Internet to any scholarly endeavor because I don't know how.

I finished my college earlier with dust and cobwebs from our library. If I just knew how to use the internet properly, I may have graduated with honors and wrote that manuscript better.

I applied for a job offered by one of my professors from her previous company. I haven't tried submitting my resume online, I was instructed to use the post mail services. I'm so blessed I got the job immediately. My mom so proud because she never thought I would make money out of my degree but I did. (I'm a Sociologist by profession)

Hi, I'm Marco and I just started using the Internet.

My first office computer is not connected to the Internet but my seatmate's did. I spent lunch breaks and after office hours using her computer. It was the era of Friendster then. The more friends you have, the better. Click! Click! Add!

But one odd thing that I always do everyday is that I always challenge Google with the most stupid question I could ever think of. I was so amazed that it never failed to give at least an answer. My neurons fired up and asked the most important question, I typed "Can you help me with my impact assessment (IA) studies?". Search results filled up my screen and I began reading every site about IA. That's how I learned to use google search engine.

You may find it weird but it really happened. and I proudly say that I built my career foundation using the Internet. I can remember that I ask Google, literally, than search for keywords, "Can you show me Internet libraries for agriculture?". Funny but it worked!

I worked at a rice research and development government funded agency before. Technology at that time may seem backward then but we are in a developing country, Internet is way far from priorities. It was a luxury.

The company began coping up with the latest technologies, improved LAN facilities, added more servers, etc. From then on, Google search was the best tool that I have in my arsenal. I've been accessing statistical software tutorials, office softwares, digital graphics, tennis, badminton, and how to raise a flowerhorn. I could be half less of what I am today if I didn't know what the Internet can do to me. It also came to a point that I enrolled on a malware removal lessons with an intention to keep our department from begging the IT department to troubleshoot our computers. Raising dead computers excites me.

What I enjoy about it most? Its FREE learning and at my own pace.

I learned almost everything but to EARN MONEY ONLINE. No, this is not a keyword tag. I just feel like stressing it.

I quit my job after 7 years after learning the difference of wage and profit. For the record, they did not fire me because I spend too much time doing Internet stuff. I quit my job after earning my the same amount of my salary in the industry called network marketing. It was hard to burn the bridges so that I will never be back but I know I have the right reasons to pursue.

Sponsoring people thrilled me. Immediately, I made money more than what I am getting from work. I realized that corporate life will never be again for me. That's why Steve's (ivetriedthat) WA promotion really got into me. (I can make a whole blog out of why I asked Google about Internet marketing.)

Earning from MLM or multi-level marketing is one thing, personality development, character building, and learning leadership is another. I am who I am today because of the industry that (sadly) many people abuse and take advantage of.

I am an entrepreneur. I look for problems and provide solutions.

That's why I'm here. I saw problems in the Philippine MLM industry (I have no idea if its the same issues with other countries) and few are taking action in fixing it.
