make sure you trust the person you give the rights of your site to and back it up before the work is carried out.
ensure you are both clear on what will be done and any backup files needed for the future.
the only area they will be able to access is your site not the whole wa site.
can you not do it yourself?

I find the wordpress experience to be ok when I first set things out, but altering themes, changing things around and adding links is very time consuming and I really struggle with that.
So should I spend my time wading through the mire, or outsource to someone technically gifted who will hopefully explain what they did and how they did it, freeing me up to continue learning and researching ?
Should I keep it within WA and ask someone here to make my adjustments ? I happily pay for time. If I charge my learning time at £x (or $x) paying less than that is a bonus. Does that conform with WA rules.
My strong point is probably research, articles and overview of what is needed. Weak point is the technical stuff. My mind isn't wired like that ! I'm a blackboard and chalk dude.

chris , maybe i'm just paranoid or untrusting. i am on the other side i am good (ish) tech and not good at social media.
i peronally would look at what i am going to lose if i have to go through changes again - would i get the same person or would someone else say that they need to start from scratch - most engineers hate picking up someone elses work!!
i would have thought with your skills you could challenge your comfort zone and have a play with a test sierubix site to see how easy it is to do what you are asking. you have done 90% of the work why pay someone else when it wouldn't take you too much time to learn how to do the linking seamlessly. maybe take a udemy free course in wordpress basics
i don't think that is outside the rules as you are not advertising for a tech person to help you have just mentioned it in passing- if anyone responds then....
with the overview do you take into account how the pages mesh together? talk to each other?
i take it it is on your vegan site?

I think I want to change my theme. website is projectveganforlife.com. I went for Hiero theme but I've since read Kyle's observations about keeping background clean. Mine is black and you can't read the word menu on a mobile so that makes it non-user friendly. Also on the mobile photos are not near the top so don't show and all the blogs are text only unless you hit continue reading. On a pc I would like to re-arrange the right hand column and maybe lose privacy policy from top menu and put it down side where it is not so noticeable. As I go on reading stuff I see the imperfections. I am not a perfectionist so I don't go overboard, but I see basic faults that need correcting, but my techy skills are not all that good and I would sooner spend my time on research and planning rather than the grunt work on wordpress. Am I wrong thinking like that ? Thanks, Chris
Had a looksee at your site and there's not a lot that's wrong with it.
I would change the colour of that top background.
I would put your Privacy Policy somewhere else.
You don't have a Disclaimer/Disclosure.
You have Uncategorized which is useless.
You could put a limit of the amount of posts on the Home Page to maybe 3 or 4 with an navigation option for the rest.
You need to sort those posts out into categories instead of having them all lumped together.
Nothing really drastic you have to change though but as you say some rearrangement.

You will only give someone access to WA if you give them your WA username and password.
They can sign in to your site from the main URL bar above by typing /admin after your domain name. That will bring up the WP login box and for that they will need the admin password or their own username and password which you would set up in your dashboard.
