Your associations do make a world of difference
Being around negative people will hinder you, not help you. You'll be torn down and worn down instead of being lifted up. So, make the decision to associate with positive folks. By doing so, you do yourself a huge favor.
That's because you'll be in a much better position to focus your energies in a way that will help you be the best that you can be. There really is no satisfactory reason for any of us to settle for less than the best.

Thanks for sharing those great words with us Craig. Negative people or thoughts are hurting any kind of business.
Craig Groeschel says, "show me your five closest friends and I'll show you your life in five years." Lot of truth there!
You do achieve the same thing you think about most of the time. That means the things those 5 people think about, as well...
Are they involved in stinkin' thinkin'?
Craig I could not agree more. A mentor I had as a young man once admonished me to be mindful of who I associate with. He said there is a time-proven premise, that you will wind up being the average of the sum total of the 5 people you hang around with.
You will talk like them (vocabulary usage and inflection), dress like them, behave like them, have about the same level of education, and be similarly successful as them - in every way, be it financially, spiritually, or relationships-wise.
So you have to ask yourself, and be brutally honest. Take a look at your 5 closest associations. Do you want to wind up being like them? If so, great! Stay with that group. However, if you want more out of life than what you see those 5 (or any number of the 5) are getting or seem destined to achieve, then you will have to say goodbye to some or all of them, and find people to associate with that inspire you to greater heights in life.
