I have no doubts that all of us have been around on this planet long enough to have experienced having a flat tire. Yes, it can be aggravating and downright annoying. Even so, it's not something that can't be fixed.
This analogy about giving up on goals is such a good fit in describing how we can short-circuit our dreams by walking away because of obstacles that get in the way. Gotta admit that this gives me cause to pause. Never looked at it quite that way.

Now I have a mental picture of what it would look like if I threw in the towel on affiliate marketing because of some unexpected glitches and bumps in the road. In this case, it's like understanding what the problem is and coming up with the right answer to solve the problem.
We can easily take care of fixing what's wrong without having a total shut-down. When you look at it that way, it makes no sense to cease all operations. It's up to us to keep pushing ourselves to keep learning what we need to learn in order to make our dreams come to pass.
It's certainly not impossible. How do I know? It's because there's a sizeable segment of the Wealthy Affiliate community who continue to make good things happen on a daily basis. We have many excellent role models who we can follow.
