Yogi Berra Or Yogi Bear?
Yogi Berra was a catcher in Major League Baseball for 19 seasons (1946-64, 1965), mostly with the New York Yankees. He is considered to be one of the best catchers in the history of baseball.
He was an All Star in 18 of those seasons, and won 10 World Series Championships. His career batting average was .285. He hit 358 home runs, and had 1,430 runs batted in.
He won the American League MVP Award 3 times.
In 1972, Berra was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
He followed up his playing career with another career as a coach and manager.
Mr. Berra has perhaps come to be best known for his frequent "Yogi-isms."
Actually, he probably right there!
You've probably heard that one before.
Maybe in France, three is a pair.
He could have been talking about a melee before the game, I suppose.
There's kind of a truth to this one.
Put him in the lineup on rainy days.
We know what you mean, Yogi!
Guess he didn't "catch on" in math class.
Stick to predictions about the past, Yogi-It's easier!
That one's kind of deep, in a way.
Maybe he's thinking they would sit on a couple of them to see out the car window.
Which one, Yogi? Which one??
This actually makes sense to me.
Good planning, in a convoluted sort of way.
I think Yogi was a fan of the Walking Dead!
I'm telling you, this guy could have been a philosopher!
Well, heck yeah!
Who can argue with that?
Or till the fat lady sings.
I'm telling you, this guy is a philosopher with a gruff exterior!
On the cutting edge of the diet revolution!
Gotta love the positive attitude!
Yogi Bear is a cartoon bear, who has starred in comic books, TV shows, and movies. His debut was in 1958, in a supporting role in The Huckleberry Hound Show.
In 1961, he got his own show, The Yogi Bear Show.
He had a couple sayings of his own, too...
I think that goes without saying!
I don't remember this one, personally, but it was on the internet, so it must be true!
Ditto for this one, but I like the sentiment!
Wherever you go in your search for wisdom, make sure you say what you mean, and mean what you say.
You'll be fine.
