Rockin' The Mullet!
Some of you have commented on the hairstyle I have in my profile picture.
It has been called "The Kentucky Waterfall," and "The Mississippi Mudflap," but most people just call it a "Mullet."
It's short on top, long in the back...Some say it's "Business up front, and a party in the back!"
Truth is, if it's long around my ears, it feels a little itchy, so...medium sides and top, and longer in the back.
A lot of famous people have sported mullets through the years.
Here are a few of them...
Country superstar, Blake Shelton
New age composer and musician, Yanni
"The Fonz," Henry Winkler
Actor, Director, Producer, Mel Gibson
Former University of Florida superstar and Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, Tim Tebow
Professional golfer, Phil Mickelson
President James K. Polk
Actor Nick Cage, shown here in "Con Air"
Actor and former rapper, Mark Wahlberg
Wrestling superstar and actor, Hulk Hogan
Actor and martial artist, Jean Claude Van Damme
Former Beatle, Paul McCartney
Singer, David Bowie
Actor, Brad Pitt
Musician and singer, John BonJovi
Actor, Charlie Sheen
Actor, Patrick Swayze
Pop superstar, George Michael
Football player, Brian Bosworth
Actor, Rob Lowe
Dog, the Bounty Hunter
Actor, George Clooney
Actor, Kiefer Sutherland
Singer, Michael Bolton
Professional tennis player, Andre Agassi
Rock Star, Rod Stewart
The Baddest Man on the Planet, Chuck Norris
Yep, MacGyver himself, actor, Richard Dean Anderson

Actor, John Stamos
So, are you still rockin' a mullet, or did you lose your hair and your strength, like Samson?
No, his lady's not about to stab him, she's just giving him a little trim while he sleeps. Bye bye, mullet, bye bye, strength!

It seems to be creative people tend to have the longer hairstyles...your in a good group. Debbie
It is nice to know that men agonize over hair styles too! :)
Based on your movie debut post, which showed you in several different hair styles, I think you can rock any style you choose. You are just that kinda guy!
Wow! Risk did you ever show your hirsute posterior! Impressive. Much more than a ponytailed rock star. Thank you!
Hahaha, I only wish I could adopt your mullet hairstyle, Rick. Those days are long gone for me!!
Wayne
The mop tops. I didn't consider that a mullet, but as you saw, Sir Paul sported an honest to goodness mullet later on, Davida. :)
Thank you for sharing Rick,
I did Rock the Mullet in the 80's until I went into the Army and since then for the most part I have been mullet-less.
I am not as powerful as I once was but powerful once as I ever was.
Thank you for sharing the Famous mullets and helping us to start our day with laughter my Friend,
Tony
Thanks, Tony-It was my pleasure. I like the Toby Keith song, and the line, which I'm sure originated somewhere else. We songwriters are always on the lookout for great hooks! Have a good day!
