Try to appreciate the simple things in life...They are often the very best life has to offer.

All the pictures in this Post are from my River-The Pithlachascotee...locally called "the Cotee."

The winding Cotee River travels more than 23 miles, all through my little town in west-central Florida, and through the county.

According to Wikipedia, the name means "boat building river," coming from the Creek Indian "pithlo" (canoe), and "chaskita" (to chop out).

Seminole Indians in the area dug canoes out of cypress tree trunks.
