Hello WA Community - I am hoping someone can point me in the direction for getting a basic website 95% complete where I can follow a template somehow. I have already completed
Just building the site itself is a challenge. Not knowing how to get it built beyond the initial pages of about me, privacy etc. How does one figure out what to build without getting stuck in the "never complete" stage. If that makes sense?
If you are building it out...stay with the blog only option. A lot of beginners try to make it look really nice and they get stuck on the design. I think that is what you are getting at...but if you just leave it as a blog only you can get started right away writing articles.
By the way, there are two templates in the articles area called Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure that make those pages really easy. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content/templates
Okay, don't over think it. A couple of marketing experts did a study on well designed websites and ugly websites and they had similar close rates.
In fact, in some niches the poorly designed websites did better because the reader felt more sympathy for the creator...and trusted them more. They felt like they were helping someone just like them.
Okay, find the text settings on the title and subtitle. You need to make them an H3 or set the text size to 30px title and 26px subtitle...these setting will usually be in fonts or header/subheader in the theme options. The text sizes are too big right now.
Also, on the menu instead of Planning your First Trip try Planning Your Trip. Privacy Policy to just Privacy...or same thing make the font size smaller. You need shorten the words in the menu.
Just a few quick tips. I don't mind helping you further but remember that I am in and out a lot.
Additional thought. You might want to make the Planning your first trip and all the others under a single drop down in the menu. Will save you a lot of room and things won't be so cramped.

Exactly, thus the cry for help on how to even edit the pages...I will take some of the wordpress classes and keep at it with your suggestions as well! All very much appreciated!
Thanks! I have already completed classes 1-4 and not worried about a logo and seo yet. I just want to get the site structure sorted. Do classes 5 and beyond walk through "building the site in wordpress?"
I have not watched the new training yet, and on the whole, however, I would suggest you reach out to the WordPress and website development side of the classes.

I also don't suggest you get overwhelmed with the sheer number of classes; however, follow the task and what you are trying to do.
Also, if you head to the previous core training, on pages, there are tasks and activities you could follow up step by step to set you up correctly and guide you through the process.

Is there a step by step model for creating your website?

How much of the lessons have you completed? Have you completed each task ask of as if you did you would be further into your website than what you have stated.
You have 5 levels from the original training plus when you go to hubs there are more updated lessons to go through.
Plus you have live video training from Jay and others to watch as well which you can find under classes at the top menu.
Just continue with the training in the order given and don't skip bits and pieces the training will guide you.
Continue to create content based on your niche that is helpful for your readers.
Note a website is never complete, it is always ongoing.
Thanks Andre, will do! I meant more to do with the structure of the site itself. The next levels of training seemingly go into areas that would come well after my site is somewhat "structured." That said, I will look into the remaining classes and go from there.
The lessons cover that which also deals with the structure and creating categories and menus.
When you click classes at the top on the right side are categories of what the many lessons give.
