#1 Life Lesson
Friday I wasn't feeling too good. The hubs just got over the flue and I was a bit afraid that I might be coming down with it. I did NOT have a very productive day ... and just about the time I finally got up enough energy to start getting dinner in the oven ... my daughter called.
She was running late - due to a client meeting - and needed me to run pick the kids up from daycare. So much for dinner. Not that I don't love to spend time with my grandkids ... but really ... I was right in the middle of things ... didn't really feel that great ... and it's just darn cold out!
So off I went. When I pulled up to Penny's house I could see Evan, not quite 2, watching out the window. When I got out of the car ... he recognized me and got a huge grin on his face and was literally jumping up and down. As I came through the door ... he ran to me holding out his arms to be picked up. I picked him up and he just snuggled in. He reached up and put one hand on each side of my face and looked me right in the eyes ... and then laid his sweet little head on my shoulder and let out a huge sigh!
I melted ... one big giant puddle of mush ... I'm surprised that I didn't just fall over ... except that I was holding that precious baby!
#1 Life Lesson ... a little unconditional love trumps everything! There is no problem - big or small, no illness, no irritation or inconvenience, no stress, strain or financial issues ... that can NOT be trumped by a little unconditional love! Everything else fades to the background, everything else falls away ... even if just for a moment ... while you bask in that glorious glow! Take that feeling ... cherish it ... keep it with you, always ... and all the rest of it will just fall into place.
Remember ... love is all around ... your higher power, a significant other, kids, grand kids, family, friends, pets ... even some strangers will offer up great moments of unconditional love. Be open to receive ... be blessed ... love back! It's the real meaning of life!

So true, how fortunate you are.... so cold, in some ways I wish, yesterday here in Brisbane it was 36 degrees Celsius.... Have a good week... AM

Oh, that just warms my heart. My little grand kids will do that and I melt too. So sweet. And the thing is the other stuff gets done. :)
