You need to make it happen

In the past 18 months I have grown more than I did in the previous 37 years of my life and I've learned valuable lesson that I wish I had known sooner.

Some of them might sound so obvious to some people, because, if you think them over... I should've known better, but I didn't.

I was raised in a very conservative family, where very strong wielded woman have lived and died to take care of their children and their men with so much passion, no one would've ever doubt they were really happy or fulfilled with how their lives turned out to be... and that's dangerous and terrifying at the same time.

When my (ex)husband left, I kept feeling deep down that I needed someone to come and save me because I believed that I wasn't capable to provide for my children on my own and much less maintain the lifestyle that I have always wanted to have.

I started to investigate and learn that I had being raised only to take care of my family and be happy doing it just like every other strong women in my family had... but for me, it just wasn't enough, and when I realized that I started to see very clearly which hereditary patterns I had being repeating and to learn that it was my turn to break free of them so my daughter could have a different future.

At first, I was petrified. Tried to move forward to my own path, but felt like I had the weight of the world upon my shoulders. I just couldn't find the way, but I kept walking "in the dark".

Somewhere between then and now, I started to create my own sidewalk, and work toward the life I want to have. I realize in a very subtle way, that if I want something, I need to work for it, but in a concrete way I never have seen before... it's like my mind just shifted and now says "YOU need to make it happen" with objectives, action plans and strategies, you need to plan ahead... and I don't know how I hadn't realized it sooner.
