In Reference to "Real Time Google Penguin" update
I received an email from a respected company offering an annual subscription to keep my ranking (although my newly published website is still out ranked—just 30 days old and still “on the tweaking stage”.) Below is the message......
QUOTE AND UNQUOTE:
“There are two things you need to realize about the next “Real Time Google Penguin” update.
1.This Google update will be an absolute Goldmine for smart businesses that are using the right SEO tools to prevent their websites from getting buried in the search results.
2. On the flipside… People that are NOT equipped with the right SEO tools will be running the BIG risk of losing their rankings in “real time”.
Coney, we care about your rankings. That is why we’ve put together this special package”.
My fellow WA members, I am bothered and concerned, unless I resort to the subscription costing a grand. What is the right SEO tool you have in mind? Any idea? Suggestions, please? Thanks in advance for the help and support.

Hello Coney, I go by the old slogan… Just say no! :-)
They may be reputable and they may not if it were me I wouldn't be willing to take a chance with thousand dollars!
Yes, WA friend. Many suggested not to take it and so are you. I will follow your old slogan. Thanks and all the best!
Hi Coney, they got your e-mail address, not hard to do. But they won't get your money! All the tools you need are right here on WA, save your money!
Best
Thanks William for replying. Yes, you are correct, we are a community and the tools are right here. Never thought about that. I appreciate your input and saving a grand:)
I certainly wouldn't be bothered and/or concerned, just follow the leaders here at WA. Stick to what Kyle's lessons teach us. I certainly would not consider doing business of any sort with the company that caused you the bother and concern.
I like your insight. Yes! you are extremely correct. Thank you very much for connecting and helping a WA member like me. All the best!
Mike, thanks for taking the time replying as well. I really appreciate it. Showing you are supportive to members in dilemma like me. More power!
Hey Coney, that is the least I can do! Otherwise I am kind of going against the grain here anyway because I am getting someone else build my website since I absolutely have no talent to build one. I am good at pounding nails and building decks, stairs, renovating houses and dealing in nails and hammers, writing is not my best talent, nor is artistic things. I like art but can't produce it, unless you look at my work as art! I got hundreds of pictures of my work over the last 20 or so years and am proud of it. Somewhat like the axe in the woods in my behaviour. By the way, I just agreed with the rest of the comments about your dilemma, didn't I?
Coney,
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's probably not a duckbill platypuss.....Dick
What do your instincts tell you?
Dick, you made me smile. Thank you! Glad I got replies suggesting one thing and I will heed to their suggestions....no need to look somewhere else. We have all we need here at WA.
Hi Coney, I've had a few, particularly when my site is was comparatively new. Although it may not be a scam, many are, they target new website owners believing many, through inexperience, will fall for the hard sell saying that without their help your site will most likely fail or never get ranked.
Why pay for something when you have everything you need to be successful here at WA? If you don't feel the free version of your SEO plugin is sufficient you can always pay for the Pro version of whatever plugin you use, and probably a lot cheaper than a grand.
My advice, for what it's worth, trash the email or put it in your spam folder.
Thank you for your feedback, Harry. You gave a very sensible insight. I followed your suggestion...email trashed:) All the best!
Hi Coney confession time , early on in the piece I fell for a similar email. It was followed up by a hard sell phone call from a blocked number . I had already been burned so I declined their offer . Feel a bit embarrassed looking back was scammed more than once a bit naive back then. Not saying this company are scammers they probably do a job . The thing is we have all the tools and resources right here at wealthy affiliate to sort out the seo . It is a classic scamie sales pitch , buy our services or your web site will go down the tubes . Just my 2 cents hope it helps.

Evan, thanks for sharing your experience. Definitely, majority of our WA members suggested to ignore such email. I am so glad I belong to a community like WA helping each other. Your suggestion is very much favored. Much appreciated.
