Since 1956, I have walked many miles, some were smooth like walking on pavement, others left my feet sore and blistered from not giving up the journey. So I would either sit and rest a while where I was at, and hope the disappointment of blisters and redness would soon go away, or brush off the dirt, straighten up my hat and carry on. However, there were times when it didn't matter which option I chose, sit and rest or get up and go, neither one did me any good without proper guidance and patience.
As I grew up further and tried to find my path again, of course I stumbled, bruised and scraped my knees, cried at the sight of the sores and blisters on my hands, and again realized that I could not carry on with my journey and find the best way to live the life I felt I was meant to have without someone or something to point me in the direction, give me a shove or hold out their hand and walk beside me. This was a hard thing for me to do for I was taught to stand tall, follow my heart and listen to my inner voice. Which I obviously didn't do always 100%!
This brings me to many, many miles and many pairs of boots later. I can honestly say I really don't carry too many skinned knees or blisters on my hands anymore at my age but I certainly am greatful and appreciative of the days I have experienced those things, for they have brought me to where I am today. I am today a owner of my own Website!! A website that I have created myself, through my own thoughts, my own words and my own hands!! And no one understands what a wonderful and fulfilling feeling that is except those that have been where I have been, or done what I have done, with the exception of those at Wealthy Affiliate! They have held my hand, touched my heart and taught me things I never thought possible. Everyone at Wealthy Affiliate is like a best friend that will never let you down, always there for you, and even lets you cry on their shoulders if you need to.
