A Little Overwhelming, BUT So Far, So Good!
Thanks to WA, I got a jumpstart on creating a pretty cool website that is gaining traction fast. One of the most valuable parts of being a WA member, besides the peer support, is the training. As I go through the steps to become a Certified Online Entrepreneur, I am learning a LOT. For example, in addition to learning how to find great keywords, I have also learned the importance of being active on social media. I admit, it can be overwhelming – BUT – it’s so much fun! Building online communities is so gratifying and it’s heartwarming to connect with people of like sensibilities… dog lovers. So in addition to the site, I have created a Facebook Group (more than 600 members), a Facebook Page (nearing 500 members in a week), a Twitter account, an Instagram account, and the TOUGHEST of all, a YouTube account. I’m focusing on one or two right now – Facebook seems to be the best way to connect with people, especially in my demographic, which looks like is mostly women from 45 to 65+. This may change over time. Google Analytics is such a great tool to learn about your people! And then, listen to them, and give them what they most want to see. It’s a learning process, and I suspect, it’s dynamic. We’ll see how it goes. But, so far, so good. I would welcome any advice regarding any of the above.
