Do You Have An Employee Mindset Or An Entrepreneur Mindset?

We are so use to the employee frame of mind. Are you not taught this is your goal to get an education and go to work for somebody?

Why are we not taught to be that somebody?

I have worked in the school district as security for 20 years. I notice that our children are not learning about how to deal with the outside world. They are not taught to think creatively in what they want to become, they are taught to do what the teacher say no more no less.

As an Employee you are afraid to think outside of the box. We feel comfort in the safe 9-5 job. But we are no longer safe in our jobs...but still it is safe in a sad way to us.

With an Entrepreneur mindset your mind is continually thinking. How can I make this better. If your in sales your mind would be creating new ways to sell more. Those are the ones that get the raises and promotions.

But most just do what we are told and no more no less. We become stagnant and usually hating our jobs. We become bored hate getting up in the morning.

And if you really do hate your job than get out of the rut you made for yourself and get that entrepreneur mind in gear and create jobs out of the things you love to do.

We need to train our minds to be the best we can be, think outside the box, be a problem solver and think what niche can I use to help someone solve a problem.

Never stop thinking of creative ways to make money. Get out of the Employee mindset and really start living the way you should be. When things come to you write! write! write it down! Listen to people around you, you can learn a lot...Have fun exploring your exciting life!

I hope this got you thinking, let me know your thoughts! Love to hear from you as always.

Love this Christina! Thank you for the morning motivation! This was even better than my coffee :)

Lol wow now I love my coffee so that is a huge compliment! :)

I can definatly relate to the "no more no less" thing. I run a concession stand in the summer. When I am slow I get out and help the ranger patrol or clean. my "replacements" never leave the building. I like going above and beyond. It helps others out along with making me feel good about helping. SOme just lack the desire (or motivation) to test the waters outside the box they are in.

You go girl! You see the difference...you make the difference!

You are right on target. Sad world we live in that stifles creativity and encourages dependence on others.

Yes it is. I look at tv and see comercials about drugs. They are the big dope peddlers. You see how you should take this pill and the year later the lawyers take their turn saying how they can help you if you lost someone to this drug or had some terrible side effect. They give more drugs to our kids than ever before. I see so many children in the special needs room that makes you sick. Our goverment wants to control us and have a mindset of an employee. We need to stand up and think for ourselves! Not sheep falling off a cliff. We all have such great information to make us strong and stand up on our own two feet! Together we can grow strong and share our knowledge with each other.
Sorry I got a little winded but this has bothered me for a long time. Needed a platform to vent. Forgive me.

No problem at all. I like hearing all views, whether I agree with them or not! In this case, I strongly agree!

Yes, we are taught this "employee" mind set in early years and it can be so hard to break free from it. Especially for those of us who have worked over 30+ years for some one else.

We often lose site of "who we are" and "what we really want from life" because of this mind set.

Let us break free from this and be who we really want to be! Freedompreneurs!!

Nicely put. Freedom in so any ways! Nice to have a big family like this backing each other up. :)

This is right on target. If more people thought this way they would have a sense of freedom.

I couldn't agree more! We tell our daughter that she needs to be part of the 5% not the 95%.

Good for you! More parents need to get involved with their kids. I worked in a continuation school and what I learned is that most of the problems stem from parents not listening to what the child has to say. It truly is sad. I applaud you for getting involved in your daughters future! God Bless!

I really love your positive mind set. You just said a lot of the things that I have been thinking about. You should be a motivational writer, you have great thoughts and you are able to put them to words. Thanks for the blog post

Thank you, that means a lot to me. :)

Love your blog post Christina! I think Joshua pretty much summed up my thoughts on this as well in his comment below.

Hello Christina. Thanks for this post. It is an important topic and I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. After 12 years (or more) of constant brainwashing to prepare us to become perfect little employees, it is very difficult to break the "employee-mindset" mold. Fortunately, some of us never buy into the employee mindset and are able to become entrepreneurs quite easily. It would seem that many such people have found their way to Wealthy Affiliate (WA). However, those within WA still trying to make that transition can do so with the right motivation, support, and encouragement. As we know, there is plenty of that here. Success to us all.

Joshua

This is the type thing I think on a daily basis. I hope with been a jack-of-all-trade skill set, I can make that positive influence to everyone.

I'm sure it will! You go! :)
