I am Very Sad!

I wasn't going to post about this anywhere, but for some reason I feel compelled to share my sorrow with my Wealthy Affiliate family... I am sorry.

On my way in to work this morning I received a phone call that a friend of mine took his own life yesterday. It literally knocked the wind out of me and I have been tearing up since the phone call. I know...big tough fireman, tow truck operator crying like a baby. I guess I am getting emotional as I get older.

Not only am I saddened by the loss of my friend, but I am distraught because of course I have been asking myself for the last 3 hours if there is something I could have done to prevent this. Probably not, but I will be thinking about it for a long time.

I am also saddened because of this pandemic my friend won't get a proper send off. He was loved by many.

Again, I apologize for posting this, but I needed to vent and unfortunately my wife is 2 hours away and has already done her best to console me from afar. The other reason for this post...suicide is real... Pay Attention and offer a hand or an ear or whatever.

Hi Chuck,

I am very sad about the unfortunate lost of your friend. indeed, you will question yourself about whether you could have done something to prevent what has happened. But do not do that to yourself, you will never get the answer to that question. It is okay to cry, you have to go through the mourning process as only you can. Remember the way he lived not how he died. Hang in there.

Wishing you the very best!

Kind regard,
Nichola

Sending you and your friends' friends and family huge love

Condolences Chuck!

Went through something very similar many years back. Easily the most devastating part about it is the constant asking yourself and answering yourself in your head and heart.

Some days are easier than others of cos. Over time it will get less acute. Take it one step at a time, hour by hour, day by day......one day you look up its a few years.

What helped me is celebrating the life than focusing on the event which was/is not in your control.

Best Regards,
Bruce
