Thorns Among the Roses
A rose is one of the most beautiful and cherished flowers in all the world. Used to symbolize special beauty, worth, and grace, roses have been at the top of the flower chain since time immemorial.
The Rose plant grows with a compliment of thorns, used to protect the plant against any perceived threat, in essence it is nature's way of ensuring the viability of the species by equipping the plant with natural defenses.
As we look at the beauty of the rose, we are attracted to it, and compelled to navigate around the thorns to pick the coveted prize of a rose, when we do, somehow sub-consciously we recognize that the thorns gives a certain prominence to the rose because we realize that things of high value are well guarded.
We cannot celebrate, or give full value to the rose without accepting that the thorns and the roses are part of the same plant, each playing a significant role, the rose, being the sheer beauty of the plant and the object of desire, and the thorn being the guardian of the rose, adding to the desire by being a defense that builds the desire to overcome it to obtain the prize of the rose.
Our lives mirror this unique analogy because the rose symbolizes everything good in our lives, from our family, friends, joy, love, hope, peace, and the fulfillment of dreams and desires, while the thorns represent the obstacles to achieving these, thorns symbolize your pain, blood, sweat, and tears.
You will not ever see a rose tree grow without the thorns to compliment the plant, and likewise if you desire to achieve anything in life, understand that obstacles are part and parcel of the goal, the sooner you understand this, the better you will sleep.
Friends are good, but friendemies are better if you want to achieve something special, friendemies teach you how to defend yourself better, how to recover from friendly fire, and how to detect counterfeit. The greater the opposition in your life, the greater the prize, if the rose plant is big, so are the thorns.
A hurricane peaks in strength just before it fully passes, just as the mighty oak tree grows in strength because of the fierce winds it faces, what you presume has come to break you has come to mature you for your promotion. If you joined wealthy affiliates and you are struggling, or it seems like you should quit because you havent made any money yet, it could be that you desire the rose but you are not prepared to get pricked with the thorns in order to get it.
The beauty of the rose is worth the pain of the thorns, once you have experienced the awe of obtaining a rose, it will become contagious, and achieving goals becomes an attitude, not a destination or an event.
Instead of complaining about the thorns among the roses, rejoice, because the roses are among the thorns!
