There is something so good about having a couple days off to just relax and decompress from a crazy week of work, family, and just chaotic life. Personally, I work as a bartender so for all of you 9 to 5er's I am your entertainment for the weekend LoL. My weekend is Sunday and Monday. Sunday recharge is a must! Resting the feet, NEVER leaving the couch except to accept my DoorDash order, and not letting anything worry my brain.

It is important to let your mind rest. It's a recoup for your ideas and passions. If you are dialed in at 100% all the time, you end up half-assing because you're exhausted! I learned a great lesson this week from TikTok of all places. Multitasking and "busy" work are enemies of progress. Focus is the key. And without rest and stepping away from the chaos, you will never see the big picture again.

Today, that is what I am doing. I am taking a break from all of my side hustles, crazy bartending scheduling, and just enjoying my partner, our new home, my beautiful fur babies, and my new books! It's so important for me to take gratitude in what I have worked hard for. It helps me refocus and hone in on what is really important and why I am doing this. For my chosen family, of course!
