HELLO Kyle Clinton here should I CARRY on with my OEC training even though I can't complete my tasks due me not owning my own domain and how do I apply for the affiliate progra

Hi - you can still complete the tasks using your free SiteRubix site. As Abie has said, you previously received a lot of useful advice.

Applying for affiliate programs is covered in level 3 of the training. It is too early to be doing this. The programs will inspect your website before they approve you and will expect to see lots of content. Wait until you have written at least 15 articles for your website before you apply.

Absolutely. We discussed this the other day.

It is only an investment of $14 for one year privacy included.

Previous question notes.

so then do I just skip those tasks that I can't complete and how do apply to the affiliate programs or should rather carry on training first?

Please read extensive notes via your other question on how to proceed. Thank you.

thank you

Hi everybody is it any real use to carry on with my OEC training because due to lack of funds I can't afford to buy my own domain and move it to complete certain tasks and jus

Clint, "good on you!" for being honest and vulnerable by putting your question out on this platform. I have asked myself the same question!

One of the answers that I keep coming back to is "What is going on in today's marketplace?" Brick and mortar businesses have been softening at a steady pace for more than a decade, and that pace has quickened with Covid-19. It will continue to accelerate after we get past Covid-19 due to artificial intelligence (AI) that is already usurping many of the jobs we used to do.

It seems online marketing is the best way for me, personally, to make money to supplement my retirement, most of which was stolen from me in 2008.

Ask yourself, "Given market trends under Covid-19 and AI, how long will my current job last?" And, "What are the opportunities in my current job if it is sustainable?"

If you have a job that requires you to be there in person (e.g., plumber, electrician, massage therapist), there are opportunities and money to be had long-term. If your current job will be replaced with AI, then an online business is probably worth pursuing.

If your current job is sustainable and lucrative enough given today's marketplace, the next question to ask yourself is, "Do I like what I'm doing enough to keep doing it for the duration?" Since you are already looking to do something different, I suspect you will have difficulty continuing to show up at your job "raring to go."

All that said, I would keep your day job as you transition into an online business. If you work steadily and have good credit, perhaps a talk with your local banker would get you a small loan to become a WA Premium Member and buy those domains you say you need. But don't forget that you can go pretty far with the free siterubix domains prior to a WA Premium Membership.

A banker might take you more seriously if you took your business as far as you possibly can with the free siterubix offered on WA.

I wish you the very best in your pursuits. I think you can achieve what you need and want because you are not afraid to be truthful about your situation, your family needs, and your own aspirations. Go as far as you can with the free WA platform, then take it to a banker and be honest about wanting to improve on your and your family's life.

Thank you

I can't give you an answer about "the just wasting my time" part. if you are learning to build a business, then it is not wasting time. You obviously didn't know what you now know before joining. That's knowledge friend. If by any means you can't create a business with the knowledge that you've gained, and you can't make ends meet at home, then you must take the appropriate action to do what you must do. I am being honest but without giving you a direct decision. It's an eye opening decision that should be made by you and your wife on this situation. Others here have suggested some great ways to pinch by and still make it. But it is solely up to you friend.
All the best!

Hey...You don't need your own domain yet , just think how how much content you could create in 6 months... that's a lot and will give you a massive head start.

What tasks do you have to complete that involve extra cash? If its just the domain just skip and come back to it. If you can create content that is the biggest thing you can do after your niche.

Over 6 months a domain would be 38 cents per day but make sure you only buy it when you are sure.

Remember this is your business so its your call.

Also be wary of advice, my whole career was built on not following the path people thought I should take. Everyone will have a different view.

That is of course different to people who have gone the same path as you , that's good mentoring. Its what you are getting here. I expect it would be $1000's of dollars worth.

Whatever you do avoid making decisons when you are emotional about it, sleep on it, go for a walk , sing , take a reality check and then make your decision.

This is a very helpful and honest community and we are here to help. Good Luck, Phil

Hi - I do hope you realise, that from now on, your membership payments will be $49 per month, and they will be taken automatically from the payment source you added.

It can easily take 6 months to make any income, and even then it won't necessarily be enough to cover your membership. This is a long term commitment, and realistically, you should treat it as a side income to a "real" job for at least a year.

You don't need your own domain to start with, you can continue to work on your SiteRubix website, and just apply the training to that site.

Hi Clinton,

A business online cost approx 200/300 dollars a year (on tools you need) and then you have to take in account your membership fee of $49 a month as well.
if this is an issue then maybe the time is not right yet for you to start a business online.
I might sound harsh to you ,but this is the reality... moreover this is a long time project, typically ,..you will see your first sort of income with your online business between 6 and 12 months and then it is still not an income that gives you financial freedom to quit your day job.

I hope you find a way to get the money you can spend on your business without having to hurt your wallet.

All the best,

Luc

How do I get rid of the red notifications on top of the bell icon and my profile I've been opening and checking but everything seems right but these red icons won't go away wha

My notification icons are the same, just different numbers, but not changing. Also, the notifications within the bell icon are all showing as unread, even when actioned, so it's extremely difficult to know where I'm up to with everyone. Carson and the team are working on all of the issues, shouldn't take them too long to resolve.

thank you

It must be glitch since they change the platform. It will be sort out, don't worry.

thank you

ok thank you so much AbieAJ and Alex

Glad you asked, I am having the same issue

You do not have to do anything. It is probably a glitch .
