Happy New Year!!!

Can you believe it's another year, another DECADE?

I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely PUMPED for 2020. I think it's going to be the best year yet. I am hopeful every year. And honestly, every year is great. Not every bit of it, of course, but I always think the years end up overall awesome.

And I know 2020 is going to be even more awesome.

It's 2020! It just flows!

Let me know in the comments, do you have any New Year's resolutions?

Alright, now let's get into my stats for December.

I do have to say that December was super busy for me, as I'm sure it was for most of you. Therefore, I didn't put a ton of effort into my site. With that said, I'm still pretty happy with the month overall.

Let's see how it went!

What I accomplished this month:

  • Wrote 7 new articles
  • Updated 3 old articles

Honestly, that's about it. I love this business though because things keep flowing anyway! lol In fact, I now have:

  • Over 200 YouTube subscribers! (Even though I haven't made a video in a while. I really need to make this a priority.)
  • One of my YouTube videos has over 6.6k views. I know that's not a ton, but I think that's pretty cool! Over 6,000 people watched something that I created? Crazy!
  • 193 email subscribers. (So close to 200! This is another area where I really want to improve. This will be a big focus in 2020.)

Traffic & Stats

November's stats from Search Console:

And here's what December looks like:

And here's what the past year looks like:

Traffic in November:

Traffic in December:

Day/Week/Month Traffic:

My traffic is down this month, and I have some reasons why this is likely the case:

  • December is a busy month for most people and people aren't really looking to start an online business in the middle of the holidays
  • I had a bot that increased my traffic last month
  • Google had an issue with Analytics where it wasn't tracking hits properly for a few days

I also think a couple of great keywords I was ranking for are no longer ranking.

Referrals:

  • January = 10, 0 Premium = $0
  • February = 11, 0 Premium = $0
  • March = 25, 0 Premium = $0
  • April = 30, 2 Premiums = $39.50*
  • May = 25, 3 Premiums = $47.50
  • June = 37, 2 Premiums = $63.00
  • July = 35, 3 Premiums = $118.00
  • August = 24, 4 Premiums = $149.50
  • September = 12, 2 Premiums = $157
  • October = 32, 4 Premiums = $164.50
  • November = 29, 4 Premiums = $149.50 (+1 Black Friday sale)

So this month is interesting because my referrals are up, but sales are down. But commissions are up. lol Also, the Black Friday sale went through, so that bumped my total payment to $282.

I also had another commission from my old site that was taken down. I think that's the 5th one now. So...I decided to put it back up. (More on that next.)

I also had a couple of other sales from another program I promote.

Goals for 2020

I have so many things I want to accomplish with very little time now that I'm working out of the house again. You know how it goes.

I still plan on working on this site and I'm always thinking about ways I can increase my referrals and revenue while decreasing the amount of time I spend because time is so limited. This is where I believe YouTube and email marketing will come in...

I plan to write at least 8 posts for my main site per month.

But:

I want to diversify and work on my other 4 sites this year. Is it a bad idea to work on so many sites at once? Probably. But I'm going to do it anyway. It'll be a fun experiment.

The main thing I'll be doing right now is planning out the content I want for each site. I'm thinking of tackling them one at a time. For instance, write 20 posts for one and then let it simmer. Write 20 posts for the next and then let it simmer, etc.

The first site I'm going to work on is the one I took down that still makes me money. I've already got it back up and I put the review up again (but updated) and it's already ranking and getting clicks! I put it back up maybe a week ago?

I have one article on my site. And it's ranking for 21 keywords.

So yea, I've got to get more content on this one ASAP!

OK, that's it from me for this month! Let me know in the comments:

  • Your New Year's Resolutions if you have any
  • How your site(s) did in December

That's awesome, Christina and thanks for sharing with us. I have no doubt you are going to reach new highs in every aspect of your business. I can see your business really taking off this year.

My 3rd year here at WA is when I really started to figure out what was working best for me. It came right down to the wire for me on reaching my 300th sale right on the deadline of Dec 31. Next year I hope to see you Vegas.

Cheers to 2020,
Kirk

Congrats, Kirk!! I bet you were sweating! lol I definitely want the chance to experience Vegas, so I will never give up on trying...!

Happy New Year to you, Christina!!

This is awesome and I see you are getting consistent traffic!

I have made some goals for this year and I have them on my latest WA post from yesterday. I still have no traffic to report and won't be posting that for a while.

I need to see that something is happening before I start posting statistics in a post... LOL!!

I hope to see your traffic go up again and look forward to seeing a post from you that you are quitting the "away from home job" one day.

Keep it up and we all will see great things from you!

As always, I wish you the best!

Bob

Hey Bob! What's happening with your traffic? Or, if I remember correctly, is it because you haven't had much time getting posts up? How many do you have up now?

You'll get there. Just keep plugging away!

Thanks so much for reading and keep me posted on your progress!

- Christina

I have a low number of posts...I’m embarrassed to say... LOL! Finding time to post is just an excuse.

I have recommitted to myself now though. We will see where things go.

Bob

Hi Christina, happy new year to you and yours. I would definitely work on that site, it looks like its got lots of potential.

I actually just posted a blog here at WA, and it sounds so much like yours. I gave a mini update on my progress so far.
let's do this, 2020 is our year to shine.

I wish you lots of success in your business and in other aspects of your life. Happy 2020.

Oh, I'll have to go check out your blog. I wish you lots of success in 2020 as well!

Christina what a cracking post, so many WA family have been writing really good motivational 2020 posts, and yours is another, I loved it, the detail, the explanation that accompanied your stats, it was all there. I am really looking forward to hearing how your year pans out.

I too am looking ahead and it is as scary as it is exciting. I am looking forward to some of the changes, but some scare the bejesus out of me, like creating my own You Tube Vids, but it is on my goal list and I will attempt, even if it bombs at least I will have stepped out of my comfort zone...

Good luck for 2020 and I hope you make it to Vegas this year 👍

Thanks so much for reading and for your encouraging words!

Go and make those YouTube videos! Face the fear. What's the worse that can happen??

- Christina

If I were you, I would start with screen capture videos and then once the confidence is up, get in front of the camera like a movie star :) happy 2020 and happy video creating.

Ha ha, you are right, what’s the worst that can happen, why do I have to feel everything has to be, perfect, ship shape, tickety boo, professional, confident and experienced before I start recording or even considering to record the wretched things...

But you are right what’s the worst that can happen.....nothing,.....that’s it....nothing... will I be embarrassed if my viewers are just 2, (one being my mother the other my daughter...) probably but so what. 👏💥

Thank you
👍🤗

Well, everyone starts with 0 subscribers, so I wouldn't worry about that yet! :)

- Christina

Great post Chris! Congrats on your results so far!

I started an MMO site in September this year (on my native language) promoting WA platform, I started getting starter referrals here and there but no one goes Premium so far.

I also plan to focus a little more on creating YouTube videos as I think it could drastically improve the conversion. :)

I do think YouTube is a great way to get people over. Definitely try it out!
