The Long, Hard Path to Becoming a WA Member
All my life I was a "9 to 5"er. At first I liked it. But as time went by I became anxious, because of life situations I was not able to become financially comfortable. As I crested the hill of my 9 to 5 career, I realized that as long as I work for someone else I am assisting him in becoming wealthy. So I began looking into other means of becoming financially stable. I tried several things but nothing was allowing me to achieve my goal. I continued to search online for a reputable source of income. When I thought I found something that might interest me, I would check for reviews and scams. Many of the "interests" were questionable. After researching many reviews and scams, I started to realize that most of the "bloggers" only blogged to convince the reader to participate in their own online endeavor. All of the reviewing and scamming I was reading about actually became discouraging for me. But I continued to search for a reputable source of achieving my financial goal. Then I started reading blogs about Wealthy Affiliate. I searched and searched for as much positive information as I could find about WA. A lot of the information came from WA bloggers. I even checked out the WA website and reputation. But, I was still hesitant about becoming a WA member because of all of the bad past experiences on and off line with endeavers to improve my financial situation. Finally I read a blog from a Wealthy Affiliate member who described the inner workings of WA. I read that I could join for free for the first seven days or even stay as a free member of WA until I chose to upgrade. The article even said that WA provided extensive training to help me achieve my financial goals. I read that if I upgraded during the first seven days I would receive a discount for the next month membership fee and after that the fee would be $49. Even with this information I was still hesitant about becoming a WA member. I thought about joining WA for a couple of months. Then, one day, while I was taking a "me time" drive, believe it or not, driving helps me to think, it dawned on me that the first seven days are free. I could try WA and if I didn't like it I could "bug out". So I thought, "What the heck. If I don't try, I will never know if WA is for me." When I returned home I logged on to my "confuser" and joined WA. So far, I am very impressed with the amount of support I am receiving from WA members. The training is exceptional, although at times a little confusing, I think because I am internet marketing illiterate. I am looking forward to moving forward with WA at my side in achieving my financial goals. I realize that this is not a get rich quick scheme, but a due diligence to financial success plan. My ultimate, ultimate goal is to become so financially independent that I only have to rely on residual income to sustain my financial obligations.
I want to thank everyone who reads this ahead of time. And I wish the very best to all.
Thank you,
Clayton Otterstetter

Excellent, Clayton! You make very valid points, but remember to learn at your own pace, and it will work out better for you! This is definitely not a race!

Thank you, Jeffrey.
I learned a long time ago, especially being a Master ASE and Chrysler certified auto repair technician, now retired, specializing in automotive computer systems, that hurrying to complete something will only cost me more time and money. I have learned to be patient and eventually that rock of Gibraltar will become sand.

Have you chosen a niche?
I hope you are enjoying your journey. Wishing you success as you go throughout your journey.
Hi Newme,
Thank you for the encouragement and advice. Yes, I have chosen a niche, patriotic products, but I am still building my WA website. I just completed the SEO lesson. I have a second niche in mind already, personal health.
That's awesome!
Make sure you do your market research first to endure that they are people talking about your topic, affiliate products that you can make money from and ensure that you have a target audience that you are specifically writing about
I will request you to focus on one thing at a time and after gaining enough experience (after a few months) you can try the second niche.
Patriotic product is a good idea and I know (by reading your bio) you are a patriotic person so you are focusing on the thing which you are passionate about and interested in. That's good news.
I wish you all success!
