Mental health and well-being
Hi there,
Where to begin ...post diagnosis of bipolar 1/ years ago, I began doing slot of research on the specific "brain disorder" as I call it, as I was just given the label, put on medication and sent packing so to speak. I researched firstly the disorder as much as I could; joined a group p, and, got leaflets from my GP surgery; got familiar with medications and side affects; and began journaling on self reflection to attempt to understand me from "them" so to speak, ergo the label I was now associated with.
I'veive studied and got my degree in psychology, some people think I'm an expert in the field of mental health, because of my qualification, but I'm more an expert by experience in mental health.
It was a few years into my life I became overweight (yeah medication are weight gainers, plus the side affects of becoming sedated etc at times) unhappy, stuck in a rut, and that's when i made the decision to not give up, and become as healthy as I could possibly be and so the area of "mind, body and spirit" became an avid interest.
I got weight loss tablets from my GP who I admit is excellent with me, began taken vitamins, drank low calorie shakes instead of a meal (which are delicious) probiotic drinks for my gut, joined my local gym, got into a routine as much as I could and the dog nearly took a heart attack with walks.
Moreover, I bought a meditation app, and attempted to use it regularly. Equally, self cared we ith myself and put myself first, because I was doing to much for other people.
Health and well-being is an area of interest to me, and there's a place for it to be explored by various products. I'm a avid advocate, stand up for the under dog, the "others" and guess what, I'm quirky, social but unsocial I'm a dichotomy of light and dark, compassionate and caring yet dark and deep.
Thanks for reading it you made it this far, and if anyone wants to ask or comment by all so.
Regards
Claire

Hello Claire, so lovely to hear your transformations and well being journey.
I myself coming from lived-living experience of mental health issues, I relate to the systemic treatments and lack of care in the health system.
I am a peer leader now in my community and I will be holding group meetings for people to freely attend for peer support.
I am building a website for mental health and I would highly recommend coming here to Wealthy Affiliate community for your growth and ongoing cheers and uplifting messages from members to help your online business journey :)
Keep on succeeding and all the best with your passions and goals.
Kind regards
Erica
Hi,
Awe I'm glad I have a fellow sista' lol by pushing forward and helping others with m/health and awareness and website. I bet your sites awesome, and reaching out to people from all walks of life.
Yeah being bipolar has been thus far a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and management to begin and a strong desire to fight to get better has been difficult but rewarding. When I was in hospital with my disorder 10 years ago, I sat on an outside bench and thought "mske or break...my daughter needs me, and so I battled to get betterregards
Claire
I am so glad like you say Claire "make or break" and you choose to battle!
Me too I have a son to consider and he is what drives me to survive :)
My site for mental health is still in it's infancy but the plans I have for it is growing exponentially.
Any time you need support or help in any way, you are welcome to PM me 💙
Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead :)

Hi Claire!
Thanks for sharing your story! It is great that your turn to food and nutrition to heal yourself.
Most of the time our health issues stem from our diet, our environment, how we deal with our stress and our family history.
Best of luck with your health and continue to take care of yourself!
Have a great day! Wishing you the very best!
Kind regards,
Nichola
The best person most of the times who can help others is someone who has experience with similar circumstances. Although each person copes in unique ways, some things are universal due to our humanity. Sounds like you are utilizing diet and nutrition to help yourself which is a great place to start since many health issues stem from an imbalance in nutrition, chemicals or hormones in our bodies, along with environmental factors, too. Health and wellbeing is a very helpful niche to have since you can help change people's lives with the right information and products. All the best to you with your health and with your online business endeavors here on WA.
Hi Claire!
Welcome to WA!
It looks like you have extensive experience in your intended niche, which you can share on your website with prospective visitors.
Unfortunately, watching videos at WA is a big part of the training. LOL
Best wishes!

Thank you for sharing. I refuse to live under labels and it sounds like you do to! The best path to wellness besides laughter is to ignore the labels and take care of ourselves the best we can. Sometimes medication can be necessary even if only for a season.
Again, thank you for sharing your journey thus far. I look forward to hearing more from you. I followed you so we can keep up with each other!
Karin
