Website won't do what I want it to!
I am having a terrible time trying to get my site put together properly. I have been working on it for approximately 4 months, have written many pages of material, tried to find how to add a shopping cart for e-commerce, and I am completely failing. Would someone please go into my site at http://wire-wrapped.com and tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm not even able to get my home page where it should be. Signed, FRUSTRATED AGAIN!

Hi Cindy,
I think the image on top is so big.... just way too large. It is taking up a whole screen. I don't even see the menu when I visit your page. At least you want to show the menu to the visitor, ideally also a part of blog post.
No only that, the photo looks jagged. You are using the small photo on the header, so it is automatically enlarged. You want to use a higher resolution image and Landscape photo, not Portrait. The Landscape is wider but not tall. Portrait is tall and takes up space.
Do you have a tool to crop a photo? Let me know if you need any help.
Hi! I took the easy way out and just changed themes this morning. The new one seems to be working just fine, so I'm a happy girl now.

The comment box seems to be aligned extremely to the left. Not sure if you can edit that. I think you can if you know how to back wordpress themes. The easiest way is to use a different theme.
Look into woocommerce if you are thinking of a shop.

Site looks good on some pages, but other pages look like there is a gap in the middle. Maybe you should try changing your theme. Maybe the site is just slow to load. Do you have a lot of pluggin's?

Are you following the instructions and tasks in the WA course? Following EACH lesson and doing the tasks in the lessons. It is a step by step training, designed for beginners.

Yes, I'm following along with the instructions and tasks. Thanks for the compliment. It seems like I've been putting it together for 4 years instead of months. My homepage is a problem. I had a great page called "Home"! It had a large graphic of the small one you see at the top of the pages now, and it had the name of the site, etc. It disappeared. The thieves got it and took it away, probably never to be seen or heard from again. (Wow, you can tell how long I've been working on this today, huh?) I think I might have to step away from the computer........ Maybe the thieves will bring it back during the wee hours of the morning! One can hope. Thanks again.

Perhaps you need a different theme??
My computer sometimes misbehaves but the more I learn about all that techy stuff, the more it behaves itself. :)
Have you searched plugins for a en e-commerce / shopping cart plugin and a theme designed for shopping cart websites?
Yes. Athena claims to do both. I'm on a mission now.............

Wonderful! Thanks for the compliments. I changed themes this morning and am in the process of building my store. It isn't finished yet, but it's going alot easier with the new theme.
