New WA Feature For 3rd Party Autoresponders

It's taken just over two and a half weeks but Wealthy Affiliate's SiteSupport have finally released a new update to their Nameservers!

With numerous messages going back and forth every day, for the last two and a half weeks, between myself, SiteSupport and a Director at AWeber, Wealthy Affiliate have released a new update to their Nameservers allowing for the use of CNAME to TXT DKIM Records.

This is great news for those of us with domain names hosted at Wealthy Affiliate and who also use 3rd Party Autoresponders such as AWeber.

For those of you who do not know what any of this means, let me explain a little ;-)


DKIM is an email authentication technology that helps to stop spoofed emails. It allows you to send a positive signal to mailbox providers, such as Gmail, that your emails are genuine and that they can be trusted. This increases the chances of your email landing in your recipients inbox, rather than being rejected/bounced or from being sent to their SPAM/Junk folder.

One of the best ways to get more of your emails into your subscribers' inboxes is to authenticate your sending domain using your autoresponders, such as AWeber’s, Custom DKIM feature.


DKIM is only one of many ways to improve the chances of email deliverability. If you currently use email to contact your subscribers, especially if you use an autoresponder service such as AWeber, I would highly recommend that you setup your SPF & DKIM records as soon as possible. SPF Records should be the bare minimum, so now is a good time to check that your SPF Records are present and correct while adding your DKIM Records.

You can obtain the settings from your autoresponder account and then send these to SiteSupport and they will get them added for you. As easy as that!

Thank you for the very useful information. I know that there are some limitations with the Wealthy Affiliate hosting, this sounds like a great move.

I know what you're saying about the messages going back and forth, I have a hosting issue and one of my sites and there have been many messages going backwards and forwards! Still waiting to have the issue solved!

Good morning Chrystopher,

I'm getting an internal server error, not all the time, so much so that the website wasn't actually working for a few days. It's an erratic problem. However, it is also costing me traffic as I can see that Google search console is sending traffic and yet the pages are not always opening!

There has been many messages backwards and forwards, often starting from square one again. Apparently the senior admins are working on it, however, the senior admins seem extremely slow!

In general, on most of my sites the hosting seems to work well, we just have this technical issue. It's a shame, as I'm starting to think that I will have to look for another hosting package as it is now costing me money in lost sales.

I understand that Roy. Have you checked through the plugins you have installed?

If you haven’t already, you can ask SiteSupport to create a Staging Website for you, which will be an exact copy of this website. Once created test it to see if the issue is replicated. If it is then deactivate all of your plugins and test that the website is now working. One by one you can reactivate your plugins and test after each activation until you find the culprit.

Yes we have checked the plug-ins and it all seems like everything is well.

A staging website sounds like a good idea, I will have a word with support. Unfortunately the support seems rather slow at the moment, I think this is probably due to the fact they do not know what the problem is, so we have lots of messages going backwards and forwards over the same issues which is quite pointless.

I don't want to undermine the hosting here because it is excellent value and in general seems to work well. It's just when there is an issue, I'm not sure how much the site support people really know.

Does that apply if I'm not sending traffic from my website,? What I mean is if the capture pages or sign up pages are hosted elsewhere

Hey Neil, it's nothing to do with the source of how you obtain their email address, it's to do with the service you use to send them emails.
