Live Chat Tips

Some people agree and disagree with how Live Chat is used, but this post is not about what it is used for, but simply to show you how you can make the most of it.
A lot of people don't realise that you don't only have to use Live Chat on the right-hand side, which squishes the messages to fit within 1/6 of your screen (1/4 if you don't count the margins).
But that you can also click on Live Chat on the left-hand menu to open up a small popup window to make it slightly bigger, which will fit about 1/3 of your screen (1/2 if you don't count the margins).
And here's the secret that a lot of members don't realise, is that you can actually open Live Chat to Full Width within a separate Tab or even a separate browser Window. To do this you can click on the two diagonal arrows located in the top right-hand corner (as seen above).
Another shortcut is to bookmark the following URL to enable you to go directly to Live Chat
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/live/conversation/home
You might also notice a small red speaker with a cross next to it up in to the top right-hand corner. If you click on this to switch it between red and green, you can enable sound to be notified of new messages received.
If a member asks you to send them a Private Message (PM), you can very easily do this by clicking on Actions below their message and clicking the Send Private Message button. There is also an option here to Report SPAM if the message clearly is SPAM.

Thank you for the useful information, it's appreciated. I rarely use live chat as I normally find that when I reply to someone they have disappeared!
The green speaker button looks like a very useful feature as at least this alerts you to an incoming message or a reply?

I may have a play around with the live chat as I have two monitors now so I can play around with having the live chat in a separate monitor. As you mention, good to get to know people and to be able to help others out.
