Why I Rely On One Simple Routine To Stay Organised Inside WA
Over the many years I have been here at WA, I have tried all sorts of ways to keep myself organised.
I have used planners, apps, notebooks, reminders, and all other kinds of things. Most of them worked for a while, but after a while I got fed up. What actually stayed with me the most was something much easier, and I still use it every day.
My routine is this. I spend a few minutes each morning checking three things
- my website
- my notes
- and the WA community.
Nothing complicated as you can see. I dont like huge checklists. I dont put myself under too much pressure to get a huge amount done. Just a small habit that lets me slowly ease into the day without feeling rushed.
Now, when I say checking my website, I dont mean doing anything advanced. I just make sure everything loads properly and that nothing looks out of place. Once in a while I spot something worth fixing. Other days I will see that everything is fine and I just close it again within seconds.
But by keeping an eye on it daily, I never fall behind or get a surprise later.
When it comes to my notes, this is where most of my ideas are. Every time something comes to mind, whether it is a future post idea or something I want to improve on, I write it down pretty much straight away.
When I look through these notes, even if its just for a minute, it gives me a pretty good idea of what I should do next. I try not to waste time thinking from scratch or trying to remember what I wanted to work on.
Then yes, last but not least, I look around the WA community.

As I have said before in previous blogs here, I do not always comment or post something. Sometimes I just read what other people are up to and I often pick up little ideas, like someone talking about updating older content or celebrating a small bit of progress.
All these things are really good and they keep me motivated. They also make me feel more involved on the platform, even when I am really busy.
The good part about this routine I came up with is that it works even when I do not have much time. Some mornings I only have a couple of minutes before I have to get ready for my day. Other days I have a bit more time. But my routine stays the same. It keeps me organized and makes the bigger tasks I have to do feel easier later on.
I think the biggest mistake many people make is trying to change too much at once.
They decide they want to post something every day, rewrite their whole site, follow every training module, and stay active in the community all at the same time. I think this might work for around a week, but then life takes over and everything collapses. I know this because I did that many times myself.
My simple routine is what finally stopped me getting frustrated with myself. Because even on the days when I am tired, stressed out, or distracted, I can always manage these three steps. This has helped me because it stops me losing my momentum.
It does not matter if you are new here or have been around for years. Having a small routine like this can make everything feel a lot easier. You do not have to do everything, everyday!!
Just stay consistent without overdoing things.
How about you guys? How do you start off your day?? Do you also have your own simple routine that helps you stay organised?
Hope you all have a great day!
Thanks
Chris

Thank you for sharing, the massage really blended, cause finding a way or strategy to simplifying tasks is very helpful to cope with the workforce in general.I really also liked the idea that Kyle raised not long ago about sharing success stories within the community will truly motivate a lot of people in the community encouraging mostly beginners to keep going knowingly after reading a lot of successful stories that their own story is on the way.it will also give insight us on how success was achieved and helping us narrowing some plans with successful insights. Thanks for sharing

Absolutely... reading success stories is a great way to stay motivated... and it proves that if you are willing to put in the work and the effort, there is no reason you cannot succeed...
Just find a routine and stick to it as best you can!
I am actually just trying to change/improve my morning routine. It had worked well in the summer when it got light early. Now that it's still dark for the first hour or two when I used to work - because my husband is still asleep - I tend to wake up a bit later myself and somehow don't seem to be able to focus so well.

Hey Isabella.. good to see you :)
Yes I have also had my hurdles... more recently as my wife set up her office in the house, she is a psychologist... so there are always clients coming around now... so i have changed my hours too so I can accommodate that....
Luckily I have my own office also in the house... so i can hide away there... just that I have to turn the music off when there are people here for my wifes work...
It is not gonna stop me though!
