I believe I have edited my "welcome post" ass much as \|I am able to at this moment. solarliving.net I encourage anybody with experience to take a critical look at what I wrote and how its put together. Thankyou in advance to all who afford me their constructive criticism.

Hey, Christopher. I really liked reading about you and why you want to create the site. Somehow, I would change that first introductory paragraph to something like: "Let's learn about solar energy and change our lives together." Try to get that first paragraph to make you reader want to learn with you. Even though you say that, I kind of thought that I might read more once you know more. I like the page that's just my impression of the first paragraph.
Abie has given you some good advice below. For every two comments or feedback for a site you give, you can request one. That is a great way to get folks to offer feed. You are off to a great start.

I like your endeavor and how you rounded this up. I sense honesty and transparency; you are inviting visitors to want to build rapport with you; it does serve a purpose; however, I would probably rephrase the section about why you want to help folks who desire to know more, possibly selflessness vs. selfishness. It comes down to personal character and how you perceive yourself. Overall, great effort. I wish you success on your online journey.
