Websites Need Back Office Work - So Important
A few days ago I asked for website feedback. I just thought it would be good to know if I needed to work on some more things, and I received excellent constructive feedback from two members. There was a list of things that was recommended to me, and I was glad that I had asked for feedback. Now, I knew what to do.
There were a few things I hadn't been sure about. For example, affiliate disclosures. I hadn't come across them yet in any of the trainings, but I kept on seeing them on various websites, and I was always wondering about it. So, that was also one of the recommendations.
I started working on my website's dashboard (the "back office"), and I am not done yet. It still needs some finetuning, but I am getting there.
I also finally bought the domain for my second website, which is also taking off, even though I have focused mainly on my first website, but somehow the second one is taking off too, and I am very grateful for that. I haven't monetized the second one yet, but after I finish my back office work for the first website, I'll start with the second one.
I also just got off the phone with a Microsoft technician, and I must say I am extremely impressed with their customer service.
After I had signed up for BingWebmaster Tools I was offered a discount to promote my website. At first I wasn't sure about it, but then I just went for it and I took the offer. After I created my Bing ads promotion, I was contacted by a Microsoft representative who offered me tips on improving my ad - all free of charge. And today, a technician from Microsoft called me (we had set up an appointment) and he walked me through the Bing Ads "back office", helped me add keywords, action buttons, and so on. He was so incredibly helpful, and he spent nearly an hour on the phone with me (well, I did get interrupted from time to time, ;-) so that added to our call time ;-)
Honestly, Bing gives such amazing customer service, I'm very impressed.
Back office, very important, tags, categories, affiliate disclosures, which widgets to choose, what to display in the sidebars, etc. It feels like I'm finetuning my car, so that it continues to run smoothly.
