This Is How To Be Different [EASILY]

You may have noticed a couple things about this post that already stood out among others. What stood out to you? The title? Picture? WHAT?

Some things I have already learned with my short time at Wealthy Affiliate is being different is actually a huge boost to traffic. This is how to be different and it might seem subtle but it works.

Simplicity Is Extravagant

Examing your competitors in whatever niche you are in is the greatest way to find out how to be different. Most pages are so similar that there is almost nothing different. The easiest way to change that up is by choosing something that isn't like them.

Here are a couple of things to look for when checking out your competition:

  1. Photos
  2. Title
  3. Writing
  4. Intent
  5. Length
  6. Unique style
  7. Etc, ANYTHING

-Tips For YA'LL-

Photo:

One thing is the photo. Very simple, yet enough to be luring. Most pictures on the internet are bright and flashy which people often love, BUT... isn't entirely different. You can be different just by picking something that is attractive to YOU and compare it to what is popular. Test out your pages and see how much traffic is coming to that individual page. Something is either working or screwing you over and it can be as simple as a single photo.

Title:

The title as I have grown to learn is exceptional in its ability to attract. It can be as simple as adding [brackets] to a single word or punctuation that EXCITES! Sometimes it takes some learning on how to use this properly but it's easier than you think.

Writing:

The way you right can have a huge effect on whether someone is interested in you and your product. Commas are so helpful. Different lengths of your sentences keep people engaged, wanting more, and helps overall to keep a fluent read. The way I write isn't exactly traditional. I do as I see fit, where I see fit. Of course this will change for you but is helpful to keep people entertained, in a way.

Intention-

YOU need this ability. It is important that you understand how much POWER it can give you. All the perks of just being persuasive is enough to make anyone want more, and everyone needs more. So why do you NEED to have intent when writing? Although your INTENTION should be first to help others you also want to make money doing it. Tell people why it is so important to learn of this product, make them feel powerful, ensure that they know every perk it will provide them, and you will win them over. (My intention was for this to be noticeable, yet subtle, with purpose).

Length:

To be honest writing 1,500 words minimum is harder than I thought it would be. Research helps a lot, viewing popular pages in my niche helps me more, and a guide line/plan helps the most. Know where to start, where to end, and what to add when finished.

Unique Style:

I'm just going to layout a couple things that can be more unique than others.

  • The difference between colons, (:) and (:), so simple yet more noticeable. One is just bold.
  • A change between (:) and (-) between my tips makes one thing stand out more. INTENTION.
  • Using words to EMPHASIS meaning. Use words to your advantage by using them literally.
  • Making your message noticeable. This can be as simple as being bold, underlining, italics, (parenthesis), literally...anything!
  • Adding unique characters to your headings can even boost your style.
  • Change up the way your paragraphs are displayed. Not everything has to be aligned right.

Extra Toppings

If you are sharing your posts on social media then know when people are the most active. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are the best days to post. The perfect time to do this is around 3 pm. Of course this may change but is a helpful tip for sharing.

Be personal. Get people to really think that you are a genuine person that knows their stuff. You can't just say hey buy this because I like it. What personally makes this the best and why should I buy it over this cheaper option? You gotta dig into how people work so asking questions and being personal is a great way for people to know this is legit.

In the end, be yourself. Not everyone is going to come to you but you keep on being yourself and people will accept you.

Are You Different Enough To Comment?

I love getting to know people so feel free to share your unique, different, ways that have worked for you. I'm sure others would love to get as many tips as they can too.

Thanks for reading and I hope this has given you a bit more to work with!

A super read and lots of good tips Christian. I agree that the headline should be eye catching and can be so simply achieved.
If you develop a consistent style then people will look at it as part of your brand, I use that on my YT videos. It is so important too that folks know they are communicating with a real person too.
Keep the posts coming.
Stay safe, stay lucky.

Thank you Bux,

Not sure if I have ever commented on any of your threads yet, but I will be checking your posts from now on. Such a great read this one was. So far I havent done any social media and more so organic SEO since I intend to gradually build my sites up. Social media and ads are a must due to my area/niche (lead generation) so they are on the menu

Not sure that you have either but I'm certainly glad you stopped by. I am super happy that you enjoyed my post!

Honestly the sooner the better with social media. The more history you have the more reliable you seem.

I gotta work more on ads. Been spending most of my time creating content so I can get out there.

Thank you for reading this post though I am glad I entertained you.

These are great tips. The one thing I question is 1500 words that seems to be the standard. I talk to a lot of people who indicate that they don't read anything more than 1/2 a page long. We are becoming a society that skims. I hope a lot of people new to affiliate marketing take your tips to heart.

Yeah I agree. Most of the time I skim what I read so most of my content is closer to the 1,000 mark but I heard 1,500 words basically guarantees you a spot on the first page of google. Not sure, just something I heard.

That means a lot and I am thankful for your comment.

I don't have anything unique to share at the moment, but the things that stood out to me as a reminder is
1) Tell people why it is so important to learn of this product, make them feel powerful, ensure that they know every perk it will provide them, and you will win them over.

Something new I learned from your blog is this.

Thank you for sharing.

No problem. Super glad I could help you learn something new!

And thank you for reading.
