I have uploaded a plug in that requires a cron job. Is there anyway to run a cron job?

I believe there is a plugin called wp control for cron jobs. Then it should be under tools -> cron events.

Thank you!

You're welcome!

How did it work for you?

I am trying to set up a plug-in that requires them.

yes they do. That was the short answer.

Not all plugins are supported, but most are. The free ones you find in WordPress on your site are definitely. And a lot of them use shortcodes and they work for your site no problem.

Ok, I have installed a plugin and the short code does not work, if i am installing in correctly. I have never dealt with those. I have been copy and pasting it to the text version of the post. Does that sound correct?

I can't say that all plugins work, but I worked with sliders for images and with contact forms (Contact Form 7) that uses shortcodes and they seem to do their job. Same with woocommerce and my taqueem review plugin.

The shortcode just needs to be put in the page or post for it to work, doesn't matter whether that is text or html version. Often one needs to give in an ID to the shortcode, but not always.

I figured it out! Thankyou Steven!
