Hello my name is Chris; I am a 53 year old male, who has had a varied working background. The majority of my working life has been as a production manager in the food industry working long hours for very little reward, I was working at the sharp end for over 20 years until I decided I couldn't do it any more, I went to college and studied computing, which included website design, which I enjoyed.

After a couple of different jobs one working for the Environment Agency (UK) I am back in the food industry as a fork lift driver.

I have been made redundant about 6 time now over my working career and am fed up of getting nowhere fast, the days of company loyalty seen to have faded to a distant memory, although companies seem to expect it back in spade loads, I'm afraid we all seem to be just a number these days.

Anyway I have been interested in Internet marketing for what seems like ages now, pretty much from the beginning of the Internet, and yes I am old enough to remember the days before computers (unfortunately) anyway I have had a go at PPC and made 1 sale and that was it, I tried advertising on Facebook following another system, I set up 4 or 5 different campaigns and didn't make any sales at all.

The one thing I have always said to myself is if I could just get 1 thing going them I could build upon that, which meant I was always looking for the quick save time system which would start earning me money and as I'm sure you are all aware from this site, that doesn't happen very often if at all.

This time I have decided to follow this course and do the job properly and give myself every chance to succeed, because I do want the independence and hopefully some financial freedom or security at least and I want something I can be proud of and make my family proud of my achievements.

For all you newbies out there listen up because I am the living breathing advert for don't try the short cut and there is no substitute for doing the job properly.

On a personal note I am following the course the only stumbling block is I don't know what the heck my first campaign is going to be I have been racking my brain to find something I think I could promote, (low self-esteem at the moment), I don't consider myself a writer so when I think of putting quality content onto a web site I freeze at the thought of it but I also know that when I find that subject or interest I will throw myself into it 100%

If anyone has any ideas for finding your first niche I would be grateful.

WA seems to be a fantastic resource and I have seen quite a lot of these websites in the past and this one seems to beat them all hands down.

See you all in the forums, and good luck with the training one and all.

Hey Chris, First of all great to see another Brit here. I'm from NE England, where about's are you from? I have read your about me page and I just wanted to immediately say that you really shouldn't have any concern over your writing style at all! All the guides say "Keep it personal" or "Write like you're writing to a friend" etc And judging your About Me page I'd say you can definitely write in that style. It flows really well. How you getting on with it all, have you got a good niche now? Hope we can help each other out in the future.

Hello ijs thanks for the message I have only just seen it, sorry for the delay in replying.
I currently live in a small town called March, near Camebridge but nearer to Peterborough but have lived in a few different places over the years.

Thank you for the support over my writing style and the nice comments are always welcome.

I did start in a niche just to get me going I built a web site which is not great but not too bad, wrote one article for it which had not received any clicks at all, but since then I have thought of an idea which is more up my street and would be of more interest to me and fits in well with my interests and would be a review style site and I hope to start building the site soon. I haven't given up on the other site just find it hard to write articles about that subject (unique ones anyway).

What about you how are you doing with WA and how long have you been here, have you made any sales yet?

Keep me informed and if I can help you than I will, not a GURU though.

All the best
Chris.

Hello buddies I was wondering from the most experienced of you, If you use a different programme other than word press to make web sites can you still use WA hosting to host it? and where can I find any info to help me.
Many thanks
Chris.

Check out Jay's first WAbinar. It just happens to be on finding a niche. Hmmm, who woulda thunk it.

Helo just saying hi to my buddies and wondering how you are all getting on, I'm not sure how many of you are new to WA & IM so let me know how you are getting on, I am working on 1 site at the moment but it seems slow going, deciding to act quickly (time allowing) and just get someting up and running which can always be improved upon later as I learn more.
