Does Wealthy Affiliate Really Work?

Hi one and all,

I don't often write blogs here, but I wanted to share this. It's a nice win, certainly for me.

I have been here for almost 2 years (Jul 23). I signed up to WA with literally no knowledge of affiliate marketing and limited knowledge of website building.

When I first joined, the training was good, but it was somewhat out of date, still, I plowed through it and applied all I was learning.

Then the big update! Dec 23 saw the roll out of new training and major updates on the Wealthy Affiliates platform, and there have been endless ongoing updates since.

At times, I've felt a little overwhelmed with all the changes, but in the most positive of ways.

The training now is top-notch, hubs is outstanding, and with WA leading on AI, this platform has become a very valuable place to be - in case anyone is doubting.

I still have a tonne to learn and soak in, and there's still so much I want to do with my website, but WA is the place to be to learn and do all these things.

Despite my limited knowledge when joining, by applying the training and knuckling down, I now have several articles ranking on the first page of Google, some in No.1 position, and my win that I wanted to share is that one of those posts has been listed in Google as a 'featured snippet' in the top slot.

I noticed it looked a little different from usual Google listings, and I had to Google what the relevance of a featured snippet is.

What Google has done is give my article a prime top slot feature. It's taken an image from my article (unique content that I created on Piclumen - thanks to MrDon1's recommendation). Listed recipes that are unique, that I thrashed out with Ella, my ChatGPT, and bullet-pointed them.

Then it lists the article URL. This is the top position on Google.

Obviously, Lilo and Stitch is currently out in the cinemas, there's ice cream featured in the movie that I happen to love too, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to do an ice cream related article, jumping on the Lilo and Stitch bandwagon as it were, but I couldn't have imagined that Google would say - "nice one, get up there in pole position and we'll feature your work".

So, in answer to the question in the title of this blog - To anyone starting out, no matter what your previous knowledge is, big or small, with application of the training given here at Wealthy Affiliate, with the help, support and knowledge shared between members, when applied, you can make a success of this.

That's my win, and if I can achieve that with such a limited techie background, then it goes to show how good this platform is.

I'm now off to go and see if any more articles are listed! lol.
